    CAPCOM'S NEW GAME!

I think I'm gonna be really excited for this and hope for some new information soon instead of picking an old beloved Capcom franchise and getting my hopes up that this is a sequel to it. I just can't do that to myself anymore. :'(

    How Old Is Dante??

The day TPP releases is the day I just quit any and all responsibilities. I'm just gonna play as Big Boss forever and see where it takes me in life

    How Old Is Dante??

Huh, well never mind then. :dead: Guess I always just heard "two millennia ago" and then thought the entire Sparda story happened 2000 years ago. dat sig gif, btw :inlove:

    How Old Is Dante??

It might have already been addressed, but there's one thing I don't get. Sparda was banished/killed/etc "two millennia ago" or whatever. So where are people getting that Dante is 19-30+ in the games? Wouldn't he pretty much have to be ~2000 years old? I mean, I'd think he would've been born...

Worst Moment in Devil May Cry 4

I can't remember if I heard that somewhere or figured it out myself* but it's really helpful. It's one little tip I've never forgotten. Even when I didn't play DMC4 for a couple of years it immediately came back to me when I got to that part again. I really don't even have an issue with the...

    Luck Boss Battles

I recently did a DMC3 replay and I pretty much sucked. Fought Agni and Rudra and ended the fight with no health at all. I mean, there was no colored bar whatsoever in my health bar. It was just... empty. :nailbiting: If they had sneezed on me I would've died for sure. Thankfully Dante's the...

Was 2 dodge buttons really necessary?

Someone else brought it up. I was just replying with how I don't think it's comparable to the topic of this thread. This thread is about two buttons doing the exact same thing. The Trickster Dash is different than the rolling dodge, so I don't see any comparison or relevance between the two.

Was 2 dodge buttons really necessary?

We've been over that already. Demon/Angel dodge is decided by holding L2 or R2. The dodges themselves are mapped to two buttons, and the dodges themselves are exactly the same. You can hold R2 and press either L1 or R1 and you'll still get a Demon Dodge. Same for Angel Dodge. The dodges are...

Was 2 dodge buttons really necessary?

Because it's equivalent to, "oh, that aspect of the game is bad? Well it doesn't matter because you can ignore it," which is a terrible argument. And what would we replace it with? Something one of the other buttons already does? We'd just end up with two buttons doing the same thing all over...

Do members of the Order not know who Dante is?

I believe it actually says: So it's just some people, which could be anyone Dante's come into contact with and not necessarily the general population.

Was 2 dodge buttons really necessary?

But holding the L2/R2 buttons are what decide that. Both dodge buttons themselves are exactly the same. I always used R1 for both dodging types. And we can actually do way more in-game than DmC Dante does in cutscenes, since Dante doesn't actually fight anything in any scene as far as I recall...

Was 2 dodge buttons really necessary?

It gives us more options from a control standpoint, but it doesn't bring us any closer to being able to do what Dante does in cutscenes. We aren't given new abilities by having a second dodge button that works exactly like the other dodge button. Lock-on on the other hand... :cautious:

Was 2 dodge buttons really necessary?

To be fair, I don't remember Enslaved having flying or color-coded enemies. Both of which I believe are the crux for the frustration of not having a lock-on feature in DmC.

Was 2 dodge buttons really necessary?

I 100%'d DmC (trophy-wise) and there were only three things that were remotely frustrating, none of which had much to do with not having a lock on. It's just a bit strange from a design perspective to have no lock-on and two dodge buttons. I don't even hate it and it wasn't even some...

Was 2 dodge buttons really necessary?

This sounds like a massive upgrade from fighting a bunch of enemies at once and being able to lock onto each one. DMC1-4 are obsolete now. Get with the times, everyone!
