If only Mercer had a bit more flesh to his personality, rather than just his revenge, revenge, revenge ethos...it would've probably scored higher all round if it did, plus it would be a just that little bit more involving for the player. ^^

It would be great, I'm sure some people would hate it, but that would be hilarious

Its just a shame Mercer is all about revenge, when as the player you don't really know why. Sure, he was turned into a killing machine, but heck, without knowing the character before he was betrayed, you fail to be as motivated as the game wants you to be. :\

Final Fantasy are epic story tellers no doubt! Prototype would've been better with a Nuclear explosion involved, or atleast the Hero knowing his part in the world, the whole Amnesia is a nice idea on paper, but gives the player nothing to relate to.

Seriously, it would've doubled if not quadroupled its sales if the story had been on par, boy infected by virus, milltary and infected hunting him, tries to defend his family, while keeping his new abilities secret.

Alas, not to be, but as far as Superhero gameplay goes, its top notch, killing time in Prototype is as fun as it gets, parkour is fluid and fun and make you feel like a Superhero, whereas his powers although slightly overkill do feel balanced, Claws and Swords, Stength and the ability to leap onto buildings etc make you feel like a real clambering, skyscraper crawling superhero and that aspect is truly fun.

I think you'd like Monster Hunter Freedom Unite, there is epic amounts of time to invest in that game ^^

I really enjoy Prototype, but yeah, the main story feels too painfully short and Alex Mercer despite an incredible character to play as (really, uber fun!), is like a wet cardboard box, little depth and appeal. I would've preferred if he were an angst filled teen (or a young Peter Parker -- NOT the movies), whereas the premise is not only cliche'd but gives you little motivation to really progress...apart from gaining new abilities.

I'd reccomend holding off for a few weeks anyway, I imagine its lifespam won't be too impressive TBH. Along the same lines as Prototypes inital Story (7-15 hours perhaps), the preowned numbers will leap after the first two weeks

I agree, Batman needs Stealth and Intimidation, he has both here.

I'm looking forward to this game, hopefully it will actually ressurect Batman as a serious gaming character. Afterall, Batman Begins was a shambles, and with this game containing all his greatest enemies -- this could be damn epic

IIRC the 360 has an exclusive Scarecrow level, where you fight the mad monster himself. Its currently a preorder freebie only, but alike all the other order bonus' itll be up for download by December.

Jokers a PS3 Exclu. Playable Chara yeah, which makes me sad too.
But, hes still the leading antagonist, and I'll wager he'll be up on XBL as DLC soon enough

I'm not to bad, cremated my great grandmother yesterday, odd, i wasn't upset, kinda relieved, but at the same time it kinda made me sad because it was too close to my Grandmothers own funeral :S

Hum, anyway, some nice game releases this month, Batman Arkham Asylum and Final Fantasy Dissidia (Well, thats been pushed back now to 4th ofSept >.<!)

Hi mate. Yeah, the Hardcore Horde matches were a proper good laugh. Angel and me were nearly in stitches half the time. ^_^

My mic is an absolute pain in the backside. The problems are intermittent - sometimes it works totally fine and behaves as it should; other times my 360 won't even recognize it's connected (like most times). It's a standard wired headset, too, not one of those crappy Fisher-Price wireless ones. Guess I'll just have to fork out for a new one... I really could have done with it behaving today as well, there were times I just wanted to yell out where the enemy was spawning/flanking from!
