THE BLUE GOD
The title says it all but in DMC 1 when Dante got the 2 amulets the sword transformed from Force Edge to the Sparda sword.

That ... is a very valid question ... Why Didn't the Force Edge become the Sparda when he fused the two amulets together?
There is a problem with this one ...Or Sparda made it so only someone of his bloodline could use the sword Sparda.
Sparda (the devil, not the sword) made love and compassion a totally badass thing. Everyone that dared to tell him otherwise got their rear end introduced to a very hard foot. :3Another plot hole really. So play around with head canons.
I like the idea of it being something like Thor's Mjolnir, but the whole "love and compassion" thing sounds so sappy here. It's cooler in Scott Pilgrim.
This gives me an idea to draw Sparda in Scott Pilgrim style receiving the Power of Love.Sparda (the devil, not the sword) made love and compassion a totally badass thing. Everyone that dared to tell him otherwise got their rear end introduced to a very hard foot. :3
I dunno about love, but all Arkham achieved is to take appearance of Sparda before dissolving into goo due to him being to weak to control power of Sparda. I doubt somebody of his level would be able to reawaken the sword.
Because Arkham is a scrub and Dante and Trish are awesome.
Well actually he outsmarted everyone in DMC3 xD
