With a DmC movie they could probably use the same script and actors with almost no changes. It would actually take more effort to make a bad DmC movie than it would to make a good one. (It wouldn't be surprising if someone took the extra effort but with the right director it actually has a chance to be a good movie)
The only way this can be a great movie is if they get an amazing script, amazing actors, and amazing action scenes.
And if they have all three of those, they can just make a damn game instead. It's cheaper and it'll be taken seriously.

They are already making the game (it's the one coming out later this month that everyone has been overreacting to for 3 years.)
I wouldn't be happy with a DmC movie. Even a DMC movie I probably wouldn't like unless it was executed properly.

The only live-action movie based on a video game that I liked was the Tekken movie. The plot was satisfactory, but it made up for it with stunts and fight scenes.
I'll be expecting the DMC movie to match this. Even if it's separate from every DMC game, I want it to entertain me. If it has good acting, good fights, and to the very least a half-assed plot... I'll be happy.

I movie could turn out to be pretty badass, depending on who the hell they choose to cast as Dante/Vergil. Its obvious they need twin actors, who may need to know a fair amount of martial arts in order to pull off acrobatic stunts/attacks. The reason its going to take about 3 years to release, may be due to finding a suitable casts. The options are so narrow.
Yeah, it would be difficult doing the 'twin doubles' trick with one actor, especially with their hairstyles. But who knows, it could be possible. Assumingly when playing Vergil they could always apply one of those realistic wigs to save the poor actor dyeing his hair for every take. And digitally they could put his head on another actor like they did with Captain America (didn't they stick Chris Evan's on a smaller actor for the beginning stuff?). they might use something like that for any scenes that might require Dante and Vergil to interact with each other, like Vergil putting a hand on Dante's shoulder and when the two of them duke it out in a fight.
It's tricky, but not impossible. If they did it right, they could pull it off.
But you could be right on the martial arts part, that or they'd have to find someone willing take on learning combat training for the role, and possible how to use wires for stunts too.
They did it in The One with Jet Li, I'd imagine it's the same way they'd do it with Dante and vergil, and probably just dub over one or the other(or both) to give them some audible difference

For an anime, as long as it's a 25-26 episode long, i think it would be okay. Madhouse, Nippon animation or Ufotable would do the job. If it's a only a 12 episode long, it will fail miserably.

If you did not like the original trilogy, you and me are not going to get alongAnime in my opinion, is pretty weak.
I have concerns about the film, but there is still hope..so...
Nah, that CGI trailer was just for the video game, like how the debut trailer was CGI. Sorry T.T
Wouldn't say no to CGI, so long as it was good. I've not been all impressed by the graphics for the Resident Evil CGI films. Much as I love CGI I think I might prefer live action. Seeing some of the moments from the game (like when Dante steps back off the ledge and falls down the shaft) with real actors would be cool to see.
God, a tv series though I'd so love that. As long as it was only a couple of a episodes and it didn't look cheap, that'd be so cool. Film's the best bet though.
Now that was a big let down.......:/
Well, i guess a live action is fine. I have some faith for live actions now because of how good the Rurouni Kenshin live-action.

That's still happening? Huh. Ten years hoping DMC would finally get to add a movie to its media list, and now that it's finally happening, I get the Misadventures of Fauxhawk Boy. Oh, well. I guess people are expecting new Dante to have as much or more fan investment as classic Dante by 2016, especially if the movie release coincides with a sequel to DmC. There'll possibly be a novel or two and maybe other media (besides the Western comic) between now and then, depending on fan support. It's a brave new franchise.
I just want whoever plays new Dante to be a pretty boy. If they make him Craggy McLanternJaw my fangirl heart will break.

I would also like to see DmC as a TV show, but only on Stars or HBO to really show how mature it needs to be, plus they both have money. Also i think A demon hunting .... hunter, is just about all you need to run a TV show.
