I also heard Dante and Lillith say this @ 34:45:

Dante: "I don't have time for this bullsh*t!"
Lillith: "What's the matter? Oh yes, the torturing and suffering of that brat!"

yh, its pretty obvious who it is *cough*Kat*cough* buuut u never know
I really don't want to see Kat hurt or tortured. I'd rather see ten demon sex scenes than hear her scream. I swear I'll put in the work to become a pro-player, earn extra style points and orbs, max out my weapons and skills and if Mundus so much as touches Kat in this game I'll make him WISH Capcom made him a dlc character and hid him from me. Believe that.

You've gone soft, Tiran.

Well, I'm putting money on the baby been Trish. She's going to be one of those rapid grouth children who'll reach a certain age in days and stop aging and she'll still turn and become Dante's partner and her parents'll be shocked as s#!&.

Kat is captured and i'm Dante(spiritually, you know?) going to rescue her? So many possibilities....

Bloody Palace anyone? With this kind of gameplay, the bloody palace could be better than it was before.

The set up of this stage reminds me of "the secret" with winding roads, and crazy visuals.

I think NT more specifically, Tameem, has chosen some great music that really set the mood of the whole Night Club to Hell Hole experience, especially when the baby rages appear and all the music is lowered but the pace is still the same. GREAT!

Some of the combat is starting to get repetitive, but at least we can see a player who is actually playing above average with jump cancels, parrying, angel and demon evades, he makes it look pretty easy.

My thoughts exactly. I think combat in DmC gives you more freedom, more "3-dimensionality", if you like.
I think a free combat stage would feel simply amazing with this kind of freedom.

Seriously though Alex needs to be quiet when the characters are talking. I understand the need to explain and convey information regarding the game but do it during combat sequences not during frikin cutscenes goddmmit!!!!!
I kind of think Alex was purposefully doing that, so the dialog will be fresh when the game hits the shelves. He was trying to keep things a secret while letting people enjoy the gameplay. I mean Lilith seems like a key player in the game as well as the unborn child, so any foreshadowing could ruin a latter experience.

but.... he should just stfu and let us watch brand new footage without any commentary

that'd be awesome.

i liked the opanel and cant wait till gamescon.

The scenery really doesn't look hellish to me. It looks more like what future nightclubs would like. But still, it's colorful and organic, which I like. I'm pretty sure if I was in a Limbo Nightclub, I would just be raving the entire time.

Character- wise, Lilith interests me. In fact, I like her. She's hot and cocky. Cockiness is what I like in a villain, hotness is what I like in any female.

Enemy- wise, not all to different from the generic post- DMC 2 esque design that Capcom has gotten into. They seem to be repetitive with some changes in design just to add some, albeit small, level of strategy. Even though Rage is far different from the Drones, it seems to be no different in strategy than Agni & Rudra. They had my hopes with Tank since it had a weak spot on its belly, but they made the strategy awfully simple and easy to pull off.

All in all, it's a nice refresher in terms of DMC scenery. While DMC was always organic, this is the first time I've seen an area react to the music playing in the game. So I'll give NT props in that regard, and Lilith looks great and piques my interest. Too bad they aren't exactly selling me in terms of gameplay, they're kind of disappointing me in that regard.

EDIT: I just realized how much of a fish out of water I am, considering that I'm the least impressed by the footage.

I agree. The Tank is essentially easy as long as you keep an eye on it the entire time so you can dodge its charging attacks... this reminds me of Spiderman's Rhino for some reason. Rages are exactly like the twin swords in DMC3. The ice dudes are the same as the shield ones except they have ice... so they are basically recycled. And, except for the rages, all enemies have the same "bony/porcelain" feel to them.

I liked the enemies in past DMCs because they were different, even in terms of feel. You had your standard sack of demon energy, the ghost-like ones that flew in and out of walls, you had the more metallic ones, the more flesh organic ones, stone ones, feathered, etc. And all those that used things like ice, fire, or electricity were all different than the rest.

Maybe the strategies will differ in harder difficulties? Like they won't get knocked down as easily or maybe do different attacks that will push you into doing something else? I dunno.

And this is supposed to be half- way through the game which is the sad part. I'm hopping that they diversify a little more than just giving us some organic enemies and some robot- like ones.

The best part about DMC 1 was that alot of them (except the Marionettes and Fetishes) had specific weak spots and weaknesses, so it was like fighting a bunch of mini- bosses.

Maybe the strategies will differ in harder difficulties? Like they won't get knocked down as easily or maybe do different attacks that will push you into doing something else? I dunno.

But then they would do the same thing as DMC 3 and 4 which weren't all that difficult. They should have it so that these enemies remain difficult no matter how much you learn from your encounters with them.

Don't worry about it. Impressed isn't the word I'd use to descrve it ether. I'm not displeased ether, it's more of a 'yeah, I see what's going on here' situation on my end.

There are things to be displeased at, that's for sure. But I guess the feeling of pleasure from watching this footage overshadowed such concerns to a certain extent. The environment and effects are amazing. I've never seen such an "alive world" in any game before, where everything is moving along with the music like that, and to have that combined with the epic combat style of a DMC game makes this a pretty cool package. I mean, past DMCs were cool enough, even when the environments were kinda standing still, unchanging, and boring to look at... except for parts like in DMC1 when you enter hell, that was really cool looking for its time.

So annoying enemy design aside... even if this is half-way through the game, DMC games always go all out crazy by the end when it comes to stages. So I can just imagine how things like the last boss fight are going to be, environment-wise. Not to mention if they actually come up with a bloody palace mode or something that takes in these features into consideration.

judging from his verbal exchange with the dancer, Dante probably doesn't have enough interactions with women.

Or too many...

Someone with no interaction with women would be like "he-h-h-hello... there... h-h-how a-are you?"

But nothing too deep, he is obviously very ****ed off about something (probably concerning Kat) and gives two craps about having fun at that point.

someone who has no interaction with women would be very indifferent to woman.
