2. Subjective, it depends on what one considers "badass"... for my tastes, Vergil
3. In terms of swordmanship and actual skill and speed, Vergil, undeniably. In terms of power, Dante. It couldn't be otherwise, after all the power he got from all the bosses he defeated.
But if Vergil gets his own campaign in DMC4 SE, with his own bosses... hmmm...
