Crossing the line. Yay or Nay?

The game doesn't have as much fun options as past games, especially Snake Eater, I can't shoot out enemy radios anymore cause the whole base goes on alert when one spots you, I'm limited to the gun magazines for distractions, no more knocking on walls or using porno mags, no cardboard boxes, less variety in disposing of enemies(No more rotten food to throw around, no dangerous animals to use, no funny tranq ammo and no remote control Metal Gear to play with), just CQC, shoot or bomb them.
I can't even hide bodies in dumpsters or lockers anymore, let alone hide in them myself.
Even outfits are limited to the sneaking suit, classic Snake, Grey Fox and Raiden.
And no matter how many times I've tried I can not get that damn disarm move to work.
I'd love to know how the damn disarm works cause the manual is no help as well as patting down enemies for items like you said.
I'm playing GZ on PS3, not PS4.

Ground Zeroes was just mediocre for me and got boring real fast, the only thing I can find enjoyment out of is the thrill of a full ghost run now.
Oh wow, you can't even hide bodies in containers (lockers) anymore? Or even hide yourself in them? That really sucks. So far, MGSV looks to become a really simple game. ''You got spotted? Use our slow-mo get out of jail card! Hurt? Automatic health regen.'' Also seems like you can spam Fulton Recovery. Do you even get to use camouflage? I'd hate it if they dumbed down the gameplay since MGS3.
Also, I am not really feeling the story. I hated Peace Walker, and if this goes on with that same basic story, I want none of it. So far, the trailers have been so dramatic and cliché I facepalmed a few times. But... there are also some interesting features like day and night cycles and sandstorms that can conceal your movement. It would be great if you could plan your attack based on the time a sandstorm arrives. :D Mother Base is interesting too.

The slo-mo reaction is only in the easy difficulty setting. You can play without that on. I've said it before and I'll say it a third time, EXPERIMENT. There's a lot of different tactics you can use this time around. Tactical. Espionage. Operations.

And the story is Big Boss's transition to the villain we know he is and the formation of Outer Heaven. There's still a lot up in the air about what goes down in it. I'm wondering how Kaz and Big Boss will find themselves on opposing sides.

The cool thing I hear about Phantom Pain is how you have to manage Mother Base and conduct your missions on your own time. While out on missions, Mother Base can be attacked and etc. The game will keep me occupied for quite some time.

I dunno what 'experiment' means, tbh. Do you happen to have a list of things you can do in Ground Zeroes that you couldn't do in previous MGSes? But it's good to hear that slow-mo is only found on easy.

I dunno about BB being a villain... don't the MGS games explain that Solid Snake is actually doing the wrong things for the right reasons, while Liquid and Ocelot seem evil but in essence have good ideals? BB's motivations seem honorable most of the time.

Um, Solid Snake is the only one that's really doing the good guy thing because he's all about saving the world and protecting the innocent even if it cost him his life.

Big Boss IS the bad guy. Granted he went through a lot and you can sort of see why he does things but, that doesn't make the things right. He tries destroying and ruling the world. Tearing down the foundation. It's all bad thinking he's following the Boss's will. He dies knowing this it was all a mistake. Knowing the terrible man he became because he misunderstood the Boss thinking she wanted a world where soldiers were free of controlling governments. He dies thinking everything he did was for nothing and wrong. He tells Solid that he probably wouldn't have made the same mistakes he did. Even telling him how he always respected him as a soldier.

Yea, Big Boss was forced to kill the Boss and suffer through a lot of BS but, the stuff he still does it bad!

And Liquid is delusional and a bit of a nut. Always cursing the "fact" that he was made from Big Boss's recessive genes making him the inferior of the two from the Les Enfants Terribles project.

Ocelot is just a bit complex. He has always been this friendly rival with Big Boss respecting him and what he does but has worked so many sides of the conflicts that he's all over the place. He's kinda just there doing what he feels needs to be done to complete his goals but eventually just aiming to complete the vision for Big Boss's Outer Heaven.

Ah all right. I never played the Metal Gears, only MGS2, MGS3, and PW for almost till the end. Only read about MGS4 a bit and stuff, so I guess I don't have the complete story. I'm still interested in MGSV, so I'd better read up on the story some more. Thanks!

Did you listen to what I just said? Experiment man. The game lets you do a lot of stuff. You have to really discover it on your own.
I've experimented plenty with this game, I finally figured out how to use the disarm move, but the variety in this game is FAR less than past games, a bigger map and a few more CQC moves don't make up for removing the countless great features that made past games fun as hell for me.
I hate the regen health more than anything else in this game, it kills a lot of the challenge for me and takes me out of the experience, especially after I've gotten so into the survival aspect of Snake Eater, TPP needs to bring in a better health system or the PC version needs to mod in one cause regen health sucks ass and swallows.
I miss distracting guards with porno mags and setting my pet snakes and scorpions on soldiers, also the remote control Metal Gear was one of my favorite things about MGS4 and now that's gone.
I already know TPP ain't going to surpass Snake Eater as best in the series at least in my opinion cause that regen health is already a massive flaw for my experience.
