As you fight demons, you crash, standing atop the back of an unfortunate enemy, into a dark, empty red and blue laser lit dance club with the music blasting loudly. As demons pour in after and surround you, over the demonic sound system a track starts with the growly voiced DJ (Andy LaPlegua, the dark voiced lead singer of Combichrist) saying "This party's gettin' craaaazy! Let's rock!" Dante grins, spins his guns, crosses them, the camera does a full roundabout as an aggrotech death metal track builds while you pummel demons. Perfect. F*cking. Homage.

Also, randomly naming stores and locations after things in the original series. Arkham street. Club Sanctus. A movie poster featuring two lovers that resemble Nero and Kyrie that reads Blue Rose for a Red Queen,.or out of Darkness (Kyrie's theme). Or Dante taking shots about how lame he'd have to be to get stabbed with his own weapon. (right before Vergil runs him through with Rebellion. Lol!)

They could reference anything from HS to DMC. It could be very subtle or actually right in your face. Maybe another red head chick might walk by. Or maybe dragon fly's could be flying around. I always thought Nariko's finishing moves where pretty epic, and she would deliver massive nut shots to enemies. Wouldn't mind Dante kicking a demon in his balls.

Well they could redesign Lucia to look like Nariko and act like her, or they can bring in Nero and kyrie with similarities to monkey and trip.

Maybe by finding them you unlock costumes for Dante that make him look like DMC1 -DMC4 Dante. That would be cool.
