Well of course not because back when super hero movies were new, it was exciting. I'm really really tired of super hero movies and shows, so I don't think it's unfair for me to pick and choose which ones I watch instead of feeling like I need to see every single one. I love Captain America, so I'm going to see Civil War just for that, but I'm not that interested in any other super hero movie. If BvS gets fantastic reviews, then I'll go see it, but if it's just okay or even "good" then I'm hesitant because I don't want to see so many super hero movies that I get burned out.
For the record superhero movies aren't new, they're pretty old, but yes, I know what you mean, this new wave of modern superhero films is and Avengers was the tipping point to prove that a superhero cinematic universe could work. It's hard to pinpoint where the modern superhero film started, if it was with Batman Begins or if it was with Iron Man but we were coming off of a rather bleak point in superheros in cinema where they were pretty much a joke so the promise of better films was new and exiting.

Anyway, I know that back around Avengers superhero movies were still turning and with this new wave lot was riding on it. Still, it strikes me a bit to see perceptions change and I'm wondering if this wouldn't be a thing if the movie had come out around the time before Avengers had been released or just before there were 47 marvel films flooding the market making superhero movies things people had started to loose patience with. I'm not wagging my finger at you demanding answers, and how dare, blah blah blah, I'm just curious to know if you would make a similar demand of the movie if it had come out around the time of Avengers. I don't care enough to be angry about it or anything.

So I'll pick and choose.I don't see how that is being demanding.
Well, it's demanding because masterpieces are a rare thing, even in broad spectrum of all cinema, and there are no superhero masterpieces. The closest I've ever seen was Watchmen or the Dark Knight and to achieve that is a rare thing. Avengers is not a masterpiece, neither was Winter Soldier or Guardians or First Class. They were good movies and they entertained but once the shimmer of fandom fades they were just decent movies that have little to offer outside of confines of that genre, or just pleasing fans in general. They drown in the mix of all of the other ones in the market and they become just another one in the pile that could be substituted for another (the only ones that would care enough are the fans of specific movies). It's just a tall order, that's all, and looking around people are demanding a higher standard for this particular movie over any other in the horizon.

@VampireWicked i'm not really sure what you're asking me, but if you're wondering how we're supposed to understand these characters's motivations, who they are, and what drives them, and you don't think that you can do that aside from telling individual stories and then bringing them together in a team-up movie, then i'd say that you're not wrong in thinking that, but it's been done before. the pilot episode of justice league was done in that fashion. i hadn't watched a single episode of superman the animated series, or batman the animated series when that show debuted, but in that mini movie they made, i understood everything about all the characters involved. so it CAN be done. it's just a matter of it being done WELL. and you can't say for sure that it will or won't based off promotional material.

at the end of the day, it might be good, it might be bad. but i won't know until i see it for myself. but i won't ask questions or be the least bit curious about something i know for a fact i won't see.

All I'm trying to say is I'm tired of super hero movies in general. So jumping into another cinematic universe does not excite me in the slightest. I see the release schedule for all the upcoming Marvel and DC movies and I'm not excited. Frankly, it exhausts me just thinking about it. So you'll have to forgive my lack of interest in BvS or S Squad.

Well sorry to hear that. Me, personally?.....I'm a super dork, and it's freakin Batman and Superman, arguably the two most iconic superheros of all time, finally, sharing the big screen together, for better or worse, I wanna see that.
True, I am cautious about all the characters who are going to appear, but it's not impossible, like Foxy said, it all depends on how they deal with it. If Bats and Supes are the main stars, with Wonder Woman in a supporting role, I can forgive the other characters having relatively minor roles if they don't feel too forced in
Not to mention, I am a huge Batman fan, he and Wolverine are tied as my two favorite superheroes, and I'm actually kinda excited to see what Ben Affleck brings to it.
Don't get me wrong, I nerd raged hard when I heard he was cast, but well. From what I've seen in the trailers, and the fact that I've seen his more recent movies (Gone Girl, The Town, Argo) and Ben's really improved as an actor. Not to mention, when I see this

all I see (and yes, even the unmasked pic, I'm totally making that my new avatar, sorry Kylo) is Batman, and I can't help but get excited.
Plus this video does a good job of debunking the arguments against him
The one casting choice, that I am completely against, though maybe the movie will convince me, is Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor.

That's fine, fair enough. Like I said, it's your money... With that been said, since you're not going could I borrow $15? I want to go watch Batman v Superman but I a tad shy on cash and I figure since you're skipping it...

By the way, this movie will not be as good as people are demanding it to be. The expectations are so high no movie would ever meet them. Good or bad the film is going to leave a lot of disappointed by the mere fact that they're expecting what no one can deliver.
