I think of it this way Choco. DmC character is a copy. And i like Dante for his character - not for what i want him to be.
 
Probably DMC Dante since i barely know anything about the new guy except he is supposed to be the opposite of the old one (such as he smokes and etc

But anyway, I think its to early for these kinds of topics. I said the same thing on the "which dante is more relatable topic". The game has not even been released yet.

But if we must do this.....

I will forever prefer the original series Dante hands down.

And if you want to get technical than DMC3 Dante is my fav.

eh you're probably right, i should've perhaps waited to make this thread when we at least get some story info and more of dante's personality footage.
 
Do we really even know DmC Dante yet? He could be a complete d-bag for all we know! He could be such an a**hole not even that amazing character design can save him!

He could be just like... dare I say it... NERO.

very true, but since we haven't really seen much of his character/personality just look at it as gameplay wise. do you like his gameplay and style. i like new dante and old dante personally.

I'm judging him for what I have seen so far. Nothing more, nothing less. And my opinion about him can change the more I learn about it. Nothing is set in stone, nothing is ultimate. But I like him from what I have seen so far.
 
In general i'm gonna pick both but it depends on which Dante you talking about?

I would chose DMC3 Dante over the reboot as he was a cool yet compelling character that got me into the series.

I would chose the reboot over DMC4 Dante since he cant be any worse than the kobayashi dante which is proof that change was needed.

well i was being very vague, i was just saying any DMC1-4 dante and liking DmC dante, so if you like dmc3 and DmC dante you made the right choice by picking both :)

I agree with most of the people here who said that we know nothing about the reboot-Dante. It's a bit unfair to the guy. Maybe we can save this thread and then open up a new one after everyone has played the game to compare results. It should be interestingXD

But yeah for the record I prefer the first Dante. He's one of my favorite characters ever.
