when did you first respect Dante (any) as a character?

I was 12 years old or an early teenage child when Dante started to become one of my favorite videogame characters.

Imma be honest, I didn't respect Dante until DmC. Then I really paid attention to the originals and only found real respect for DMC1 Dante.
