What Weapon would be great for the new dante ?

For those of you that hadnt picked it up i WAS making an MIB reference there with the gun. still id like to see a weapon like that

personally I think they were trying way too hard to make ebony and ivory look cool. with the original design they were cool if you looked close enough, and they were practical especially if you read the first novel. but with the new design doesn't look practical in the handle, with the guns with this design it would either have to be a single-shot guns or it has cartridges in those very impracticle handles were it gets thin at the top were a bullet wouldn't be able to get through

i think theyre trying to make them look like demonic artifacts or something. itd make sense if they were given to dante by an experienced devil hunter who trained him when he was younger or something

Practical.
Not horribly oversized to the point where each gun is abot as long as a short sawn-off shotgun.
No, seriously: what exactly was practical about them, except infinite ammo?

Or maybe there isn't even a slot for the magazine, because it doesn't need any? Dante's weapon always had infinite ammo, why not now? And why not make it obvious by looking at the gun.
 
Well, ammo capacity isn't really an issue considering how Dante has infinite bullets. I personally think the new guns are a tad cooler, if less realistic; but I am sad that they dropped those iconic E&I portraits on the sides.

if we assume they have demonic abilities, hence the infinite ammo, then it wouldnt be illogical to think that like rebellion they can change aswell depending on Dante
 
A glaive like from Dark Sector would be nice, the nuke would be funny (as long as you have a couple of gold orbs:troll:) and a chainsaw, Brutal. The whip though, i don't know we already have the chain........
 
The guns kinda remind me of Stjepan Sejc artwork for The Darkness, with the smooth design and the waves on the hull:

They look like something out of Final Fantasy. I hate how people see the game now. DMC3 and 4 turned the game from action style into a anime type game and now everyone sees an anime when they see 'em. So the western equivilant is fantasy. So fantasy guns for a fantasy game as opposed to guns for a horror survival hack n slash.

The thing I hate about the new Ebony and Ivory is the fact they are contradictory, from what we've seen the new Dante has absolutely no muscle whatsoever, but then why is he able to fire (judging from appearance) a 44. magnum like it was nothing, I mean Ninja Theory are supposed to be explaining things, then explain how new Dante is able to hold a high recoil gun like a 44. magnum like it was a 22. pistol.

Y U NO FOLLOW GUN PHYSICS?!

i shall say this very clearly since you seemed to have missed it. The reason Dante can fire a weapon greater than a 44.magnum is because HE IS THE SON OF SPARDA. being half demons means you have super strength. look at the pictures on the left and right of this message. they have the same muscle tone difference being one is wearing a shirt. HENCE HE CAN DO ALL THAT AND MUCH MUCH MORE

Still another thing is that 44. Revolver magnums are not supposed to fire that fast. In dmc while the pistols are supposed to fire faster than any gun would allow, they atleast had the common sense to make original Dante have semi autos.
Well atleast we know ninja theory are staying true to western media now, they don't know **** about firearms
 
I think you guys are limiting yourselfs too much on this. You are supposed to say the weapon and what it's angel and demon form are.

For example:
Weapon: Pogo Stick (Adam)
Angel Form: Butterfly Shoes (Eve)
Demon Form: Giant Metal Boot (Steve)

And that's how it's done.:troll:
