What other publisher can take over the DmC series?

I know this probably isn't the proper thread for this but I just had a couple quick questions.

Was there any news/rumors of a DmC: Devil May Cry sequel?

And was there ever any talk of a Devil May Cry 5?

Sorry if these have already been addressed. I haven't been on the forum in quite some time.

I think Itsuno said he wanted to work on Dragon's Dogma 2 and Devil May Cry 5. But then, I still don't know what that means. Does he mean DmC2 will still be developed alongside DMC5, or that they'll go back to the DMC series? Aside from that, I heard something vague about that Capcom wanted 'more Devil May Cry in 2015' or something. Again, I have no idea what that entails.

What lot's of people fail to remember, was that DmC was first mentioned in an interview by KejI Inafuane who said he wanted Devil May Cry 5 to have a more western touch.
That seemed to be a trend with this game's PR. Say stuff just vague enough so that people think you're saying something different, then reveal what you were actually saying and confuse the **** out of everyone

In other words, if capcom says
"We're making a new DmC"
Its DMC5
If they say
"We're making a new Devil May Cry"
It's DmC2

Ninja Theory already stated on Twitter that they aren't currently working on DmC2.

Past DMC Devs Hideki Kamiya and Hideaki Itsuno have expressed interest in working on a Devil May Cry 5, but have no such bidding from Capcom or development team of their own to make it happen.

And finally, Capcom themselves have made no recent statements on the future of the series. Around DmC's initial release, they stated that they were aiming to "bring more Devil May Cry by 2015", but that could honestly be referring to either series, original or rebooted. A recent trademark was fixed by Capcom for simply "Devil May Cry", with Xbox One and Playstation 4 included in the console list.

No further word has been given on any future products, and no confirmations have been made about who is going to be the creative task force behind it.

I wouldn't mind a Telltale style game that's a pseudo-sequel to DmC, more like a short story rather than a full-fledged novel that has dante attempting to make for a past mistake while trying to deal with the consequences of DmC.

Even if they used DMC instead of DmC, the idea could carry over since I'm sure Classic Dante had made mistakes that he's not willing to face or had to deal with the consequences of his actions from the adventures we've seen.

The day Classic Dante starts having actual, recognizable flaws as a character is the day that it stops being Devil May Cry. He's too much of a picture-perfect, power fantastical Gary Stue to harbor any self-reflection or remorse.
