If they can make a game with a new character being the main guy. I think it should be ok for Vergil to have his main game.

Hey,I did some research.

Apparently Nelo Angelo was originaly NERO Angelo(Latin for black angel)When spellcheck tells me Nelo is incorrect it want's me to put Nero(funny) So what If Nero was a remnant of Nelo that was left after Dante killed Nero Angelo in the first game? He wouldn't be Virgil, just maby Mundus's corruption separated frum Virgil in order to form the new guy?

That would be awesome. I loved Nelo Angelo

If you play DMC4 and read the interviews Nelo Angelo is his name now even if it was a mistake they kept it that way. Nero is supposely named after some guy in the divine comedy like Vergil and Dante was. Nelo and Nero in DMC's case is 2 different people. Nelo Angelo is Dark Angel and Nero is named after Cesar Neron i think. BTW i think Vergil is dead. In the DMC4 story area is says that Nelo Angelo was created by using Vergil soul so if Nelo Angelo died then Vergil did with him.

Nelo Angelo was little more than a translation error, a misspelling of Nero Angelo, Italian for Black Angel, although Capcom were entirely aware of the mistranslation, it's been kept constant throughout the series, Capcom didn't see a need to change it, so I honestly think a link between Nero and Nelo Angelo are minimal at best.

But I can see capcom doing alot with Nero, like ressurecting Virgil thru him or somthing(would you haters play 5 if that was the case?). I can also see capcom ruining him in some stupid way.
I also see that most of Nero's fans are new to the series.

I would play DMC 5 if Vergil was brought back through Nero, say a part of Vergil's soul lay dormant within Yamato, waiting for the right time to be unleashed, that would be the only way I could really see Vergil making a proper return to the series.

I'd play it if Vergil was brought back for certain, and it does seem to be true, very few people who have followed DMC from the start like Nero, it's mainly those who picked up DMC 4 because it looked interesting, having no previous experience with any of the game's characters.

Nero means power and black. That was the inspiration for the Devil May Cry 4 newbie, Nero.

Nero Angelo actually means Dark Angel. That's the main meaning of what It was used in Devil May Cry.

I think Vergil has nothing to do with the Yamato in Nero's hands so far. If the Dark Slayer will come back, I think It'll be something unexpected.

i reckon its obvious there is some kind of remnant of vergils power inside yamato, seeing as it was the demon blood in Nero that 'awoke' the sword so to speak.

Also the line in DMC4 'From that day forward, my arm changed. and a voice echoed....Power.....give me more power.' could possibly mean the voice is Vergil seeing as he was obsessed with power, along with neros demon arm (which i guess hasnt always been like that) and the fact that a ruddy great demon appears when you activate his devil trigger, and the fact that something (or someone) inside nero resurrected yamato, i wouldnt be surprised if Nero has one of those internal battles with himself when he cant contain the power of yamato and vergil. (kinda like spidey with his symbiote suit)

actually, doing something like that would have been a smart move for capcom. If Nero turned out to be a flop and everybody hated him (which hasnt happened imo) they could easily use him as a vessel to bring back vergil and just kill him off, but if Nero proved popular, they can just say that vergil is with him 'in spirit' or some **** like that and just keep nero as he is.

or maybe im reading into things too much......

What I think NOW of Nero is the following. Why dd Capcom go all the trouble to create a "new" character/promote him, give him a game on his own, etc. when this guy is like a clone of Dante & Vergil? His only difference is that his Devil Trigger is actually worse and that he has a Devil Arm which works like a cheat. And by cheat I mean that it inflicts GREAT damage, when Nero's sword/gun/Devil Trigger moves are way too weak compared to the Devil Bringer moves.
Also the Devil Bringer is way too inferior to the styles that the twins have. Okay Vergil had only one style, but if he were to have his one game instead of being an extra he would defnitely have more. As for the Devil Bringer it has (WOW) 3 moves. One that uses weak enemies like a shield. (Personally I only used that in a secret mission). One that inflicts damage. (the Cheat I mentioned). And one that brings the enemy/or Nero closer to Nero/or the enemy. (Spectacular. It's the opposite of Vergil's Darkslayer).

As for his character he has Dante's cocky attitude and Vergil's irritation when things don't go his way. Oh and of course in every cut-scene where he doesn't try to be like the twins, he says Kyrie/tries to save Kyrie/holds Kyrie/etc. Kyrie. So the only difference in character between him and the twins is that he's in love. I wonder how many years they thought to find this difference for this absolutely new character.

It's not that I hate him, as one could think from reading my negative post, rather than my "being disappointed" feeling for Devil May Cry.

Devil May Cry 4 had great graphics and Dante as its good points.
Devil May Cry 4 had some bad things though too. Storyline was a hole full of questions. (What are those hellgates that Sparda supposedly sealed and were mentioned only now? Where did the order find Yamato? Since they have it, does that mean Vergil's dead? Nero's DT sheaths Yamato like Vergil, why? Nero is supposedly a descendant of Sparda's blood. Wow, that means the greatest hero of the Devil May Cry universe had an afair. Nero can use Summoned Swords. Why the hell? Vergil could use them even when he had Beowulf so that doesn't mean that Summoned Swords are associated with the Yamato. And more questions.)

Also, if we put aside these questions that contradict previous knowledge, then we come to the plot of the game as an individual. Its plot contradicts ITSELF. How low can it get? Proof is the following questions. (Dante comes crashing down the church fails to kill his Holiness and leaves after sparing with Nero. Reason?Unknown. Although the Order desperately needed Dante and the Sword Sparda for their ritual and had originally no chance of getting them, Trish transformed into Gloria and handed them down the sword. We saw Dante with Nero while on the woods. What was Dante doing there?Except for falling. Nothing it seems. Trish and Lady are only decorative objects with nice boobs. Gloria as well, but she at least served the purpose of making things more weird and more difficult without an apparent reason. And more)

As for the gameplay? Wow. It has about 7 bosses (I hope I'm not forgetting anyone) 4 of which you get to fight 3 TIMES. How boring is that? I understand wanting them for us to experience the difference in battles from when we used Nero to when we use Dante but they put the bosses AGAIN. Why? No apparent reason. Nero's gameplay was the most pathetic ever. You do stuff only to let an opening appear to use your beloved cheat to inflict tremendous damage to the opponent. As for Dante? He has almost the same moves/styles that he had in DMC3, only that the moves are less. Also he gets one style which allows him to use 3 moves with Yamato. Two of which were complately stolen from DMC3 Vergil. One of which can be done with two different ways. Yes I'm talking about that Slash Dimensional attack. It supposedly has two different attacks, but they are the same move with a different of range. Wow.
The stages? There are only 4 places (greatly designed) where you go through while playing the game. Woods/Cathedral/City/Order's HQ.

And to finally show my point. I wrote all this stuff which seem of topic to say the following line:

Capcom admitted that its most attention was Nero and the Devil Bringer. That would explain why the game seems incomplete or not as good as Devil May Cry 3 in terms of gameplay and storyline. HOWEVER, Nero is a Copy of thw twins that's in love and uses a Cheat move. Awesome or what? Ok Capcom, you fail!

I don't hate Nero. But if he were a completely new character I think he would be better. As a matter of fact DMC4 is not one of my favorite games.

^If Vergil is your favorate character, then how is part 4 your favorate.

I love you man.

Yes and no. I was referring to the fact that this topic is pretty much complete. Both sides have debated all they've debated. Anything from here on out will just go in a circle probably.
