lol, Tonks! Total win! :D :D

EDIT: aka don't think about it too much LOL. You know what I meant with 'perfect'. Have you ever submitted an unrevised story to an agent, or an editor, or a publisher? Revision is always needed.
The Twilight saga, as prime example.

The twilight saga is an dishonor the the awesome word twilight.

I've never published anything. But I guess DT hasn't either, just a guess...

I don't know what you mean with perfect, I could guess you meant to make it publishable or something in those words.

Revision would not always be needed, it depends on what your going to do with the text.

Eh...perfect as in, the best work you can possibly produce, that only YOU can put out, that no avid fanfictioner could possibly ever outdo, and this includes a lot of factors that need to be formed into perfection (eg. your voice, your style, everything about how you write that sets you apart from the slush pile, bla bla bla, I won't go into it any deeper than that)
And...okay, we've got a difference of opinion on the revision process. I believe that it's best to revise/rewrite a manuscript until you're so sick of it that you wish you'd never started writing it. And then shoving it in a corner, and forgetting about it. And then rediscovering it several months later and reading it and going 'damn, if this didn't have my handwriting, I wouldn't have thought I was able to write this good'.

It sounds weird, but that's how it usually works with me. It could be my bad memory, but I always forget the details of my stories when I stop writing them for a while. It's good, because when I pick it up again, I can look at it objectively and easily see where I wrote well and where I should improve.

What a dramatic change! A post ago you were implying that revision is always needed and suddenly it is only what you think.

Sorry if it was too offensive.

I really do dislike conflict, to a degree. Physical is fine, but arguing just makes me upset -_-

TEA?! No man, no! Don't fulfill the stereotype! I'm just kidding. You know that. :p

CT: Okay, the redone version of Shadows is going up now... Well, chapter 1 anyway.
