I know I have to!! ^^ I need a 360 to do it though :P
I totally agree!!!

CT: How can you have low stock on a game that isn't released until January?!
Gonna get rid of a few games tomorrow... loosing the 360 has given me a good excuse.

Ima sorry! >_< I totally forgot :( Totally suck 'cos now i think I may be able to co-op in Fable.. once I get gold anyways XD

I really want to be a witch on the Discworld ^^

I also must lower my Terry Pratchett intake

I'm so thankful I don't live in America.
With that said, goooodbyyyeeeeeee America!!!
Gay marriage - approved.
Abortion - approved.
Infanticide? Last I heard, Obama was trying to pass this law too.
Welcome to hell everybody.

*blinkblink* Wait, whut? Can I ask where you heard that? :| *staring blankly**just lost* Obama's campain centered alot around the values of family.... (Well, and strengthening the middle class and trashing Romney....) To be honest, I may not think I would ever personally get an abortion, but I think it's much better that it's legal than a bunch of girls go and get some back-alley abortions that kills them or their boyfriends beating the hell out of them because neither of them want kids and they think the only thing they can do is hit the girl until the baby dies. But that's my opinion. I can, however, say with certainty the news has never reported that President Obama wants to pass a bill to kill kids with chemicals (and that would certainly make front page news). I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have been re-elected, then. :ermm:
(Not trying to start a fight or anything...just sayin'....)

Thinking:
Preparing the dog for when we get a kitten (like...months from now). She actually seems excited for her "kit-ten" to come. Maybe we went over-board.

Then I guess Scandinavia (and half of Europe) is Hell already. Sounds a pretty attractive and progressive place to me though. I'd move there right now.

Infanticide? No, that would be places like India or China where they have culturally-engrained traditional "issues" with girls, and apparently little qualm with performing abortions on the basis of a child's sex. Obama not pushing for the protection of foetuses in or out of the womb— because of pre-existing laws that allow abortion or the scientific recognition of status as 'child' or 'lump of cells'— does not sensibly equate to him actually 'endorsing' infanticide.

This is what he said:

"Number one, whenever we define a previable fetus as a person that is protected by the equal protection clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what we’re really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a — a child, a nine-month-old — child that was delivered to term. That determination then, essentially, if it was accepted by a court, would forbid abortions to take place. I mean, it — it would essentially bar abortions, because the equal protection clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an antiabortion statute. For that purpose, I think it would probably be found unconstitutional."

He didn't say "let's kill babies"; he said, this would invalidate existing abortion legislation, but of course certain people with agendas of their own have twisted this to imply he personally endorses infanticide and wants it to take place.

I would just like to point out that the Supreme Court, which is kind of a big deal, ruled in the 70s that abortion is not something the government can decide on. It's personal choice. *cough*

I'm inclined to agree with them. I'm thinking it's no cut and dried issue, or something one can make a "one size fits all situations" bill for. I'm also inclined to think Obama has his head on quite a bit straighter than Mr. "Women's Bodies can Auto-abort in Event of a 'Legitimate' Rape" Romney, and his pal "Rape is Part of God's Plan" Mourdock.

Every woman and her mother knows women don't have some magical or biological ability to not get pregnant, nor when they've been forced to have sex against their will. And some people want this man making laws to govern people's bodies, when he clearly knows nothing about said bodies? Not even the total basics?

I think a more readily-picturable Hell would be Americans left by their government to fend for themselves and rot in the aftermath of natural disasters occuring on the continent every single year. Which Romney also wants because it'd, y'know, save money.

It's probably no coincidence that I got the furthest in Faster Than Light when I had a crew named after the characters in Nic 'n I's Oppression-verse... Having a Builder as a pilot helps. But she died to fire, of all things. Not a boarder, not her room being bitch slapped by a missile. She died trying to put out a fire. -_- Dammit. If only my door system hadn't gotten blown to smithereens by a teleported bomb.

@Lexy: Don't forget Romney's binders fulla women.

Thinking: Really hoping I remember my dream tonight for once, and please God make Thursday go by quickly... Funny how I always turn religious when I want something -.-

He didn't say "let's kill babies"; he said, this would invalidate existing abortion legislation, but of course certain people with agendas of their own have twisted this to imply he personally endorses infanticide and wants it to take place.

It was during one of his campaigns a few years ago. A guy asked him where he stands on abortion, or more specifically, when life essentially begins. Obama's answer was: "I believe that life begins when the woman says it does". He's pro-abortion, this is a fact and old news. If this is really what he believes, then he has no issue on the sub-categories of abortion, such as embryonic abortion (which is what birth control essentially becomes when you become sexually active),early abortion (in the first trimester) or late term abortion (2nd trimester onward) and, of course, partial-birth abortion - which is literally ONE BREATH away from infanticide. Abortion is abortion, whether it's through vacuum, seline injection, the abortion pill or D&C. He doesn't SAY he supports infanticide word for word but it's pretty obvious. His reasoning is absolutely pathetic and ignorant, too. At least try to use science or the medical viewpoint to anchor his beliefs, but no, he'd rather just go, 'hey, it's the woman's choice, I don't know wtf they're thinking but whatever makes them happy and gets me votes works for me'.

His answer was very revealing and also very diplomatic. I can honestly say that if Obama really is a Christian, as they keep repeating on radio here, then he would NOT have given his OK on abortion or on same sex marriage. Those are the two laws I know of so far, and I really don't want to know what other chaos he's allowed to become legal in America.

I can tell you what's going to happen next, but as it is I think a lot of people are going to hate me for criticizing their president. I wasn't being sarcastic or joking when I said goodbye America. Really. I've seen a country go to **** faster than it had been built up. Obama is NOT fixing things, or making anything better for anyone by saying 'YES WE CAN'. He's sitting back and saying, yeah, okay, whatever, if it's what you people want I'll give it to you. If he had weighed the pros and cons, ESPECIALLY considering he's 'supposedly Christian', he would have put his foot down and said, this isn't right, I can't let my country do this.

But whatever. I'm just happy I'm not in America.

He may be Christian, but he's in America, which takes its conventional concepts of freedom and personal choice quite literally/seriously. Those laws on abortion— on pro-choice— already exist, I doubt he would contravene/challenge them and lose votes for it, particularly considering he is meant to represent the Dems, oppose and provide alternative to the usual Republican stance which is pretty much always pro-life. Apparently, like a lot of people, he has his own interpretation of his faith (many people are not particularly devout, or don't take things a literally as they might), and he isn't going to put religion before politics. Which, personally— when it comes to the everyday issues of running a country— I would rather people did, and not put beliefs before practical logistics. That's what we pay them for, after all... and there is quite a good reason for the separation of Church and State.

Now, he might have said that, but since this legislation already exists, he is not actually worsening the situation. Romney, I feel, who doesn't seem to know his ass from his elbow, and his cronies, would be far more dangerous in Obama's position. I don't think Romney is remotely capable, and that's what concerns me more than religious belief in a President— intelligence and competence.

I suppose I should add that, personally, the abortion issue does concern me— and I actually feel that if America is to be truly progressive, it needs to address the issue of 'late term' abortions and the death penalty quite urgently. If the West is going to bang on about human rights to the rest of the developing world, let's clean up our own back yard first.

But where is the intelligence and competence in passing a law that, ultimately, tries to combine State and Church? The law on same sex marriage? Christianity is not the only religion that is against this law. It's causing tension. It's not going to work. It's beating Church into submission to State law. What is going to happen to the Churches who go against State Law? He didn't think that one through at all.
