The Lost Crown... Took a while for me to get through my backlog and finally play it, but damn. Now THIS is how you reboot Prince of Persia, Ubisoft. Superb game.

I'm not into metroidvania games and even I am loving this.

Apparently my sudden stuttering is caused by stimulants which I have taken daily for a good while.

So apparently I can choose between focusing properly or being able to speak without sounding like an idiot. Great news for a courtroom lawyer! :sneaky:

I’m screwed

im watching a couple of Yakuza retrospectives and it made me think off my first attempts at writing a crime story back in college.

yakuza 4's structure made me think of merging 2 of them.

This game legit feels like a 2D DMC game. The free form combat system works on the same principle of stringing single moves together rather than having dial-in combos.

I look at that video and it totally looks like a DMC combo mad clip. I'm having a blast with this game.

Need to send off eldest son's educational report, prepare youngest son's report, write out two study timetables and get clued up on teaching GCSE level content...by next week.

What a difference 2 years makes. If you'd told me at the start of 2023 that I'd be pulling my kids out of school, quitting my job and becoming a home educator, I'd say you were mental.

Nope - just me.

Thanks - it's definitely been different! But it's been the best thing for the kids and they are so much happier. School just didn't work out for them. Schooling a special needs teenager and a teenager without needs is not without it's challenges but worth it to see their mental health improve, if nothing else.

I hate teaching maths though

I wanted to do the same with my daughter as the school she was in was incompetent. In fact a boy in her class actually tried to choke her out, i am the only mechanic in this area for a 40 plus mile radius though so i can't give up work. My wife has suffered a lot of health issues aswell , multiple surgeries etc. So instead we decided to switch schools and keep me out of jail for assault against the principal lol. He was an adminstrator who does not teach, and doesn't like kids.

We opted to change schools instead, and things are way better now and she is happier. If possible though and with all the new dangers and agendas and crap making it's way into schools i would prefer to homeschool.

So i completely understand your decision, and i applaud you doing it and the bravery it took.

It's getting more and more common in the UK, especially as our education system is basically completely broken and the current government just thinks that being more of a nanny state will fix the issues.

If Steve didn't work from home and basically fund us, we'd be unable to do it. My physical health is garbage, so I'll never get another job regardless, so I completely understand the difficulties with one income and the like.

Glad you managed to sort the schooling though - sounds like a horrible situation to have been in.

Oh it was, and as long as she is happy then everything else is secondary. I am glad ye are in somewhat of a position to do this, child safety and happiness should always come before exam results and turning the cogs like most schools do as they see students as paychecks.

I am happy for you that ye will get to do what is best for your children, because the state and the government and the schools, do not know what is best for your children more than you the person raising them and who knows them completely. Even though their ego likes to make them think they do.
