But the problem with making Vergil a good guy is that, basically that's creating a new character and just naming him Vergil.


Vergil is a bad guy in the original series, and is a key plot point, making him a good guy and making him nice towards Dante is stupid because it basically kills the entire idea of him being Vergil, and really, what evidence is there to support the masked man being Vergil at all? True, the 4chan guy was mostly right. But did he really do anything other than play a demo. He was probably jumping to conclusions on the "It's Vergil" thing

Im pretty sure there isnt a class on reboots given that it is a new practice that people are still trying to figure out.

There is a difference between "making a reboot" and "butchering your source material"

Things like making It Not in the original continuity makes it a reboot

Things like making Dante a delinquent who curses every two seconds and Vergil a goody two shoes is butchering your source material

No one said Vergil was a goody two shoes. Leading a rebellion against the world currupted by demons behind the scenes of a demon society isn't what I'd call a goody two shoes thing. I just want this Vergil to not be as depressing and one minded as DMC3 Vergil was. Give this Vergil a little more life while still being serious about his goals.
