Given the games controls, Vergil's playstyle can't be all that different from Dante's in execution, otherwise they invite too much confusion within his two-to-three hours of playtime.
Triggers most likely change his combat style between fast Iaido strikes (stantard), heavy strikes (Demon Mode), and wide angle strikes (Angel Mode). Using the Shoot key logically controls his Summoned Swords.
His Air Trick is probably done by holding in one of the triggers and pressing the Shoot key, like how Demon Pull/Angel Lift work for Dante.
It's entirely possible that the D-Pad won't even get used because he might not get any other weapons, but having the three different sword styles and his ranged options is still good enough.
The doppleganger is either his version of a Devil Trigger, or it's part of one of his Modes, where it just adds more strength to the attacks in place of using a heavier style or weapon.
