user groups

what is a user group, how do i set one up or join one?

I had the same question before but Drakan explained it for me. I guess it's an option for forums created for the sole purpose of playing games (RPG and the rest). Therefore if they had things like "clans" some people would be in the group A, which is created by clan A. We here don't do that, but to answer your other question, I have no idea how to start one

ok, glad that i wasnt the only one who had no idea about them you can close this unless the admins know how to make one

Can also be used to seperate certain members access and such from places, like the following example:

Also from what i read a while ago it can be used in the same way as the groups on places like Facebook for example. Like the example in the following link.

Having not toyed around with them much i dont really have many details on the full extent to which these groups can be used.

Ive never actually been part of or owned a forum thats even used this feature to be honest.
