I feel really really sorry for him. I can't imagine how it can feel getting a news like that. However I'm also glad to see he's being fairly optimistic and isn't giving up.

As he said, there's no cure nor can it be operated away. But, still as he says, you never know what come next in Medicine. If he can push the... "X day" away for long enough, who knows. I sure hope something can be done.

I can see why he decided to do this and its probably the best decision for him with his current situation. At least he will still be releasing videos on Youtube for fans.
