Its been a while since I've played any DMC game. I played DMC3 like a month ago to master Jump Canceling. I never mastered it but ya you get the point.

No you did not get Nightmare-B from Nightmare. You got it before you fought Griffin in the Colosseum by opening the Red Shield door as well as the Blue Shield door.

It was easy if I remember correctly and if you use it correctly it becomes a great weapon to hit multiple enemies multiple times while you melee something else to build up your DT again.
