I am calling the demon evil because the demon is evil, but has just not done anything to humans. It has only killed demons.
And it lives only in the demon realm.
The human paying Dante to kill this demon has no particular reason for wanting the demon killed.

My point with asking this question is that if Dante likes to kill evil demons, wouldn't he then go and kill this one in demon world? Even if the person paying him has no reason for the job?

I already gave you my answer in my previous post. Yes.

But then, this is not an issue. I see your point; you think that if Dante likes to kill demons, he would have gone to the demon world more often in the games, to kill evil demons. However, these video games still want to tell a story, and Dante randomly going to the demon world to kill an evil demon isn't much of a story. Especially if Dante is going to be challenged by innocent demons; nobody would want to play a game in which you're essentially slaughtering a species.

And just because Dante hasn't done these things in the games, doesn't mean he wouldn't do these things.

But, but, but......Dante randomly goes to Fortuna Castle to kill evil demons in DMC4; it's the story of DMC 4.

And prevent the entire world from potentially falling into the hands of a deluded priest called Sanctus, which Dante wouldn't like himself. And also, to see how Nero is going to grow, and what choice he's going to make. Oh, and to kill demons, because as Dante says, he's absolutely crazy about it. This is a story worth telling in a video game.
But I get that you jest :P

No, my point is not that. It is to find out if you think Dante would kill a evil demon for money.

Here is another example: what if a human told Dante "Here is $1M , go kill a evil demon in demon world, and get a camera man to record it, i want to see the show!"
I know this is a absurd question, but if a human came with a similar assignment, question is: Would Dante do it?

Because the statement is "Dante likes to kill demons (evil ones)".
The statement is not "Dante likes to kill evil demons TO protect humans".
So if Dante can't enjoy killing of a demon without it being a action to protect humans or others
Then he doesnt really enjoy killing demons.

Let me give another example:
A archeologist asks Dante to go kill a demon of a certain kind, that happens to be evil by concident, and the employer says "I want to study the body".
Would Dante accept the job?

My answer to that question is: No.
And if the answer is no, then it contradicts "Dante likes to kill demon" statement.
My answer isn't fact, but i am just making a point that if you agree with me that Dante wouldn't accept such job, then isn't the conclusion that Dante does not take pleasure of killing evil demons, and he only does it when its important...e.g protecting someone.
 
IncarnatedDemon are you sure you didn't forget to take your crazy pills again because now your not just making any sense.

If its for money Dante will probably do it especially if it doesn't break any moral code of his or the demon really shows signs of being evil whether human lives are at stake or not.

I mean in the DMC1 novel written by KAMIYA and Shinya, it goes to of gone far to show that Dante even hunts humans for profit. Granted the DMC1 novel was erased out of canon by DMC3 and it mainly pertains to DMC1 Dante than the other Dantes but if Kamiya planned to have Dante's past be one where he even hunted down humans (evil ones) did he ever had a strong moral code of doing it for humans or doing it for himself.

But I digress as the DMC1 novel is no longer so my argument is irrelevant.

Did Dante hunt down as in capture the evil human, or did he kill him?
Which of it?
 
As a mercenary, he had some competition, so sometimes he saw himself involved with rivals.To defend himself, he killed them.
But he admits that even if he kills people, he laments to have to do so; it's only colateral damage and part of his job.

Well its not canon anymore well to DMC3 and DMC4. It was supposed to be a sequel to DMC1 well by Kamiya that is but DMC3 (and its manga) contradicted it out of canon.

I mean when your mother was killed, perhaps you would avoid such acts.

Would have been awesome if that sequel was made though.

Oh wait I'm sorry it was meant to be a prequel to DMC1....not a sequel. I tend to confuse the 2 Sorry.

Also, Dante had to put food on the table somehow.....can demons starve? Plus, considering he killed (or try to kill) humans in the games ibefore (even if they turned themselves into demons) I can see it past him plus the novel is no longer canon.

IMO the only non-game materials to be canon (Outside official art and guidebooks) are the anime and the DMC3 manga.
 
Dante is a beast, how the hell could he not get a job done lol. Hed prolly get raise for his insane effiency.

Being a Devil Hunter really don't pay especially if your Dante (explains why he is in debt in the anime) but chooses to be one regardless. He needs to fire Morrison and get a new manager.

Personally would love to see the manga and anime characters (mainly Patty and Enzo) in a DMC video game.

Dante's always in debt because half the time he hunts demons where it's more like a public service with no payment. It's his own fault. Good guy Dante.

Actually Dante also has the destructive habit of destroying millions of dollars in buildings and cities. Like in the anime, episode 2, he destroys an entire bridge. Why? To kill a demon. Which was stupid because that didn't do sh*t.
