Strong language

A smooth transition from one thing to another, usually in media like music and video. Pronounced "seg-way," which you may have heard before.

Hello everyone

Watched few videos today and noticed that this game contains trash talking more than any of the previous DMC games , I really don't know why all this trash talking and using allot of bad words like Sh!t,Fu*k,B!tch, put spin on this and noticed that they made Dante a dirty motha fu**er.

I don't know if this is how would they make Dante and devil may cry cooler than ever , but i think it has gone too far.

it's okay using bad words but not in every ****in scene in the game :(
I just noticed today that most of the western games contain Strong language and sexual content , and sometimes all these things are not necessary in the game but they add them just for fun , I swear if Final fantasy was a western game it would contain sexual content and strong language.

my point is . . it's okay to have strong language in games and even nudity if it was necessary and if they were a part of the game and a story related but if they weren't what's the use of them??

I made mention of this in some posts. Instead of repeating them, read these :3

Number one and number two.

And Dante doesn't curse in every scene.

Here's mention in an article too that's worth a look. Read it well.

(Edit: wait, why is there a face in the link!? o__o)

The game is rated M, so they can throw in all the swear words they want for all I care. Those who can't accept that are people I consider to be prudes. If you are afraid your kids or younger siblings are going to hear it, then don't play the game when they are around and don't allow them to play it. It is rated M for a reason, so it is your responsibility to keep it from underaged people, not NT's or Capcom's. And if YOU have a problem with the swearing, then that is YOUR problem.

People today, young and old, generally swear alot more than back in the day of the old series. Much of the swear words have lost their meaning and no longer have the same strong effect on people, simply because it is used so much. And why shouldn't people swear? It is a healthy way of blowing off some steam when angry, just yelling out curses and get it out of your system. It is also a good way to describe something you don't like, etc.

Devil may cry is not a kiddies game to begin with, so I'm cool with swearing when appropriate to the character and situation. Not being there so often is a plus.

That seems to be the case at least, Dante spews more one-liners than the f/s/a bomb from what I've seen.

Im going to be uncomfortable with this situation as propably In next yearor sooner Im going to mine older brother, and well I have an youngling niece who really I wish she should not see me gaming M rated games, or I will be forced to slow down mine gaming or In final to silence voices in games as In Poland, we Polish get sometimes more brutal vulgar language with translated games that It in original meaned. This is the case why In Poland some games are rated 18+ as they have after translation more vulgar text than original English :/

Oh man, someone who understands where mature gaming responsibilities lie! I could kiss you. I'm tired of people blaming the developers, or people like myself who sell the games, for kids getting a hold of mature games :/

Although, having been the younger sibling once, we can be damn annoying...so it's difficult to find time without the ankle-biter to play.

Not sure if that pic is meant for TC or the rest of the guys who replied.
pretty much to the thread itself how one guy voiced his opinion about how he didn't like the cussing in the game, neither did I DMC rarely had cussing because it didnt need it, anyway so then people come in saying it's rated M so they can add cussing if they want its true but its uneeded its stupid just because a game is rated M doesnt mean it right off the bat needs some cussing (i own alot of M games that don't having really in cussing in it)

I agree that it's not needed but as long as Dante doesn't incessantly swear throughout the game ala Prototype 2, I don't see why a little cussing would worry TC so much. Swearing my not be needed in DMC but Dante is a asshat even without his swearing. Old Dante may not have sworn or anything but his actions makes him a top notch prick if he were a real person.

some people just don't like cussing, which i can understand, seeing how this person has played the other devil may cry game he probably just finds this change unnecessary and its just an attempt by NT to make Dante more "Cool" and "Hip" which i guess some people like (OMG did i just use hip in a sentance) :|

I know that I've mentioned this in the thinking thread, but my mum was in the room when i was watching the trailer where Mundus says that Dante is 'too big for his f***ing boots'.Lets just say, she was far from impressed.
She hasn't seen the other trailers.

At first, I must admit, I wasn't impressed. I suppose now, I just shrug it off.

What TC doesn't realize, or at least I assume he doesn't, is that this isn't the Dante he knows from DMC. If NT were to make DMC Dante swear, I can relate to that but this is DmC Dante from a different universe. He is in no way related to DMC Dante other than being his incarnation in another universe.
