Someone in NeoGAF said there wasn't a Nelo Angelo DT because it would require new moves. I don't think there's a legit explanation but maybe Super Corrupted Vergil will be different, no?

Well, the proportions are different, so Nelo Angelo would either need to be smaller (hah!) or adopt an outrageous range with Vergil's existing moveset. The alternative is to give him his own moves. To match Vergil's fleshed out moveset, this would be even more difficult than it was in DMC 3: SE.

His moveset was already a bit more limited than Vergil there, and a few people complained about it back then. I imagine the contrast would be unbearable if they didn't add something to him this time around. I'd say it's more important that they invest the resources in the core additions.

That's legit and makes sense. Didn't think about that.

I'd say it's quite a legit explanation, since in DMC3 they could simply re use Nelos Animations from DMC1, in DMC4 that's impossible. That together with the fact that Vergil plays quite differently from before, and his whole moveset is totally different from Nelos, I can accept that, even if it's still bummer for me.

Thinking about it, it would be weird seeing Nelo with Yamato or the Yamato / Force Edge combo wouldn't it?

That's a decent explanation. That costume takes place after DMC1, so maybe.

Thanks man, yup that's right. As we all may know that Vergil's storyline will be taking place before DMC4 and after DMC1 where he visited to Fortuna for knowing that the Order of the Sword are mocking his father as "The Savior". I wonder if Vergil will have more cutscenes in this game than in DMC3 SE. I've always wanted to see a cutscene between Credo and Vergil having a decent conversation about the city of Fortuna, the history of Sparda, etc. because I've always wondered how the Order of the Sword got the fragments of Nelo Angelo? Wait... there must be another reason why CAPCOM remove the Nelo Angelo DT maybe because the Order of the Sword had already used the fragments of Nelo Angelo so Vergil cannot use the DT anymore?

That's a good reason. I never thought of that before you brought it up. I forgot that Angus from The Order of the Sword already used up all the pieces of Nero Angelo's armor.

So... what's that short scene with Corrupt Vergil in the Savior's head all about? It looks like those little cuts they do before boss battles, but there are demons spawning in there for some reason instead of it just showing Sanctus.

This implies they've made some minor changes to the gameplay somewhere along the line.

Cool costumes. Not sure I like the colour palette...
As for the dark hair, not everything has to be interpreted as an attack against DmC.There are people out there that don´t like Dante with dark hair. I´m one of them and it should be OK for us to be allowed to voice our opinion. Having different tastes and opinions is still legal, last time I checked it.

Thanks for the info

I dunno what to think about that honestly. It can't be part of his ending cutscene because the Savior supposedly doesn't exist at the time his story is set, so... dunno.

Well I believe that the Order found Vergil unconscious in Hell and took him back to headquarters, to which Sanctus or Agnus made a decision to us his soul to power up their new legion of armored Angelos...I believe the first time Sanctus encountered Vergil made a decision to control him and use his power and harness his soul, since Vergil's power rivaled his own would make the perfect guinea pig for a future core for he saviour, and were lucky to find him in Hell, took his sword Yamato, harnessed it's power to manifest their Angelo's but with Vergil's soul as it's power core.

It's actually brilliant in a way but those little boss opening before the fight is not really needed because it should just go straight into the fight.

It's from when you get caught by a Fault in Mission 18 I think. I could be wrong but that's about the only explanation I can think of... Either that or LDK mode puts lesser demons into boss fights just to mess up your day!

Wow, that never happened to me so I didn't know you end up in the Savior for it. :D Looks like there's still a bit of content for me to squeeze out of the original before June.

It happened to me when I first played the mission and I was furious! I don't think that the Fault takes you to the heart of the Saviour but I haven't been taken in by the Saviour in so long that I cannot remember.

i just gotta say this i like this Dante with Black hair i think it looks pretty cool, i kinda thought they where going to do something like this since in UMVC3 Dante could be put in Different colors. i do wish we where getting nelo angelo, but i much rather it be Sparda's DT because i always hated the Nelo one because the move set was rather slow. Trish looks so perfect with the white top and red shades, i hope we can have a black coat as well that would be sick.

What made Dante Dante was gone in DmC?

Have you ever played Devil May Cry?

You have a gun and sword toting protagonist who's cocky, obsessed with style, and spouts cheesy one liners. What about Dante is suppose to be missing here because the fuggin sounds like Dante.

Or, is he just supposed to be the juvenile, generic anime archetype all the time from 3 and 4 because that's what most of you are just fans of. Why don't you just be honest?

I own every dmc to date including the reboot and DE and there isn't 1 game I don't like. I love them all and is my favourite video game series.
