I think its the same reason as UMVC3 Corrupted Vergil: Nelo Angelo would require a new moveset, Sparda does not.
Well, the proportions are different, so Nelo Angelo would either need to be smaller (hah!) or adopt an outrageous range with Vergil's existing moveset. The alternative is to give him his own moves. To match Vergil's fleshed out moveset, this would be even more difficult than it was in DMC 3: SE.
His moveset was already a bit more limited than Vergil there, and a few people complained about it back then. I imagine the contrast would be unbearable if they didn't add something to him this time around. I'd say it's more important that they invest the resources in the core additions.
I'd say it's quite a legit explanation, since in DMC3 they could simply re use Nelos Animations from DMC1, in DMC4 that's impossible. That together with the fact that Vergil plays quite differently from before, and his whole moveset is totally different from Nelos, I can accept that, even if it's still bummer for me.Someone in NeoGAF said there wasn't a Nelo Angelo DT because it would require new moves. I don't think there's a legit explanation but maybe Super Corrupted Vergil will be different, no?
That's a decent explanation. That costume takes place after DMC1, so maybe.
That's a good reason. I never thought of that before you brought it up. I forgot that Angus from The Order of the Sword already used up all the pieces of Nero Angelo's armor.Wait... there must be another reason why CAPCOM remove the Nelo Angelo DT maybe because the Order of the Sword had already used the fragments of Nelo Angelo so Vergil cannot use the DT anymore?
So... what's that short scene with Corrupt Vergil in the Savior's head all about? It looks like those little cuts they do before boss battles, but there are demons spawning in there for some reason instead of it just showing Sanctus.
This implies they've made some minor changes to the gameplay somewhere along the line.

It's from when you get caught by a Fault in Mission 18 I think. I could be wrong but that's about the only explanation I can think of... Either that or LDK mode puts lesser demons into boss fights just to mess up your day!So... what's that short scene with Corrupt Vergil in the Savior's head all about? It happened to me when I first played the mission and I was furious! I don't think that the Fault takes you to the heart of the Saviour but I haven't been taken in by the Saviour in so long that I cannot remember.Wow, that never happened to me so I didn't know you end up in the Savior for it. Looks like there's still a bit of content for me to squeeze out of the original before June.
Dante and what made him..well Dante was gone.
No! None of that! Agree to disagree and end this conversation. This is already going badly. What made Dante Dante was gone in DmC?
Have you ever played Devil May Cry?
