@Mrrandomlulz: Original Dante would like to have a word with you.
Like I posted earlier, THIS is Dante. Thanks Mr, chocolateghost.

No problem.Like I posted earlier, THIS is Dante. Thanks Mr, chocolateghost.
I would have thought it a little obvious that Dante is a keen collector of various Demon heads, seeing as his office is covered in them.
Whatcha talking bout Zilla!?I would have thought it a little obvious that Dante is a keen collector of various Demon heads, seeing as his office is covered in them.
And you know what? That adds to his character which is a good thing. I mean what badass do you know in videogames that hangs his dead prey on his walls?^ Just the image I was thinking of! Now, surely the notion that lifting a severed head being too out of character for Dante seems a little silly now? I mean, how else did those heads get on the wall in the first place?
In fact, the classic Dante actually takes it a step further and nails the entire demon to the wall in some of the end-game unlockable artwork. "Whatcha Up to, Dante?" "Oh, nothing, Trish, just nailing a Sin Scythe to the wall!"
Talk about overkill.
Yet again though, Original Dante mounted decapitated heads on his wall, he didn't hold them up and start staring at them, we also have to take into account that the demons in the original DMC had little to no blood.@Mrrandomlulz: Original Dante would like to have a word with you.

I just showed you a scene where Dante knocks a guy's head off and spins it around on his finger like a basketball just for kicks!! That's just as bad as cutting off a head and holding it up, plus we haven't even seen this scene! And what's so bad about blood and gore? I love blood and gore, especially in hack and slash games because it makes the combat more satisfying. *Enemies surround you, you begin fighting, pulling off amazing combos ripping them limb from limb......instant gratification*Yet again though, Original Dante mounted decapitated heads on his wall, he didn't hold them up and start staring at them, we also have to take into account that the demons in the original DMC had little to no blood.
So picture this, New Dante holding up a skull that is dripping with blood (and remember, he is holding it up only because he wants to please the 5 year old Gears of War fanboys.)
Dante is too calm and collected to be decapitating and holding up the head like its a golden trophy, he keeps the trophy of demons heads, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't hold them up in the sunlight like a freaking brute.. In DmC however, he does this, what is this called kids?

As I have said earlier guys, this game looks like a GREAT hack and slash , it just doesn't look like a DMC game to me.
Its more or less of how they hold up the decapitated head that I am worried about.
For instance, Will he just hold it up and then throw it away, spin it like a basketball like DMC3 Dante, or will he hold it up and start staring at it.
I guess you're right. You don't know for sure either just wait til you see it and then make your verdict instead of already coming to vague assumptions for all we know there might be relevant significance to him staring at a severed head like in GoW where the severed heads always had a meaning.
I guess you're right.
Now excuse me while I go look for an apology pony
EDIT: FOUND ONE!
Does anyone get along with one another on these boards?
Holding a demon head in the cutscene doesn't mean that the game has lost it's stylish combat systemBecause, that is yet again, brutal, I only watch the cutscenes to see the story unfold, and watch Dante do SSStylish stunts and tricks, if DmC Dante is going to be a brute and hold a severed head up for no god damned reason, then what point is there in liking the character.
And at least Kratos acts like someone of a tortured past, brutal and angry at the world, unable to smile or care for others. New Dante is just brutal and a ****, without any PR or TGS 2010, we would've never guessed he had been tortured in his past.
Yet again, Kratos was an asshole, but we loved AND hated him because he was a convincing asshole who showed emotion that you had to look for, New Dante is a **** who just likes to apparently be a brute.
This guy never learnsI think your taking it a bit too seriously, Randomluz. Also a series built on their culture um... no. I'm not even going to begin on how wrong your perception is.
Remember DMC3 scene where Dante is playing with a demons head? Please don't think it's a big deal. It's not making Dante anything or does your collection of DMCs suddenly turn into a collection of DmCs just because this new Dante is different ?Because, that is yet again, brutal, I only watch the cutscenes to see the story unfold, and watch Dante do SSStylish stunts and tricks, if DmC Dante is going to be a brute and hold a severed head up for no god damned reason, then what point is there in liking the character.
