Ugh, gross. I could definitely live without a game that has even more Gloria-style tasteless sexuality than DMC4. But I'm withholding judgment until I see how the scenes are for myself. Please lord don't let it be as stupid and creepy as that one graphic of Dante with the booty angels.
("Crack whore" is almost certainly a comment on Lilith. Really disappointed about her so far, I was hoping for a female demon like Nevan, only even more powerful and classy.)

Because, that is yet again, brutal, I only watch the cutscenes to see the story unfold, and watch Dante do SSStylish stunts and tricks, if DmC Dante is going to be a brute and hold a severed head up for no god damned reason, then what point is there in liking the character.
And at least Kratos acts like someone of a tortured past, brutal and angry at the world, unable to smile or care for others. New Dante is just brutal and a dick, without any PR or TGS 2010, we would've never guessed he had been tortured in his past.
Yet again, Kratos was an asshole, but we loved AND hated him because he was a convincing asshole who showed emotion that you had to look for, New Dante is a dick who just likes to apparently be a brute.

Naw. All he did was yell out his anger like some psychopath and get angry at everything. Characters like that aren't really fun to listen to every time I play. It's pretty much playing as a weaker looking version of the Hulk except Krato actually talks when he's not screaming like a psycho.

if you chose A, no **** it is the only option.
Source material is the basic thing you have to hold onto when making a reboot, otherwise it is called a "rip off".
For instance, Dante smoking was something he was "Too cool" to do in the original, something they were trying to avoid, therefore, it should only be natural the reboot avoids it.
Dante is too calm and collected to be decapitating and holding up the head like its a golden trophy, he keeps the trophy of demons heads, but I'm pretty sure he doesn't hold them up in the sunlight like a freaking brute.. In DmC however, he does this, what is this called kids?
If you said "Butchering your source material", well no ****ing **** Sherlock.
So yet again, Capcom and NT should've just made this a new IP or a spin off with a new set of characters-.

It's called having balls to kill your prey and keep its head as a prize. Something old Dante did after he killed demons. Also Dante is not so calm and collected in DMC3, but why? Oh right, cause he was young, like the new Dante is.

First of all, a lot of your bullsh*t is just as annoying to me.
To quote your counter arguments, and to quote a fellow skeptic, you supporters do seem to love using words like "reboot" and "Alternate universe" as security blankets, to make it seem like this Dante should be the polar opposite of the original one. Yet again, Reboot's are supposed to stay true to the source material, Tameem and Alex can joke about the hair all they want, that's still the source material that they are SUPPOSED to be staying true to.
Here, maybe I should take you through a brief glance at my perspective.
I honestly have no problems with this character, sure he comes off to me as an annoying little dick, but all in all, I have no REAL problems worth boycotting him EXCEPT for the fact that they had the guts to literally CREATE A CHARACTER FROM SCRATCH, and then name him Dante JUST TO MAKE A PROFIT BY TRICKING FANS INTO THINKING HE WILL DEVELOP INTO THE ORIGINAL DANTE, when it is clear he won't, the game would literally have to go through a ton of plot twist and pointless character development that noone wants to see.
Now take a look at it from the skeptics perspective.
It was a big "f*ck you, we don't need you." even after Alex's recent, "We understand why you were angry.", which to a lot of people seemed hypocritical because of the fact that Alex was the one making the jokes and laughing at us.
Plus, Imagine how the Japanese fans feel, this was THEIR series, built on THEIR culture, and the West just comes along and f*cking takes it.
