know the rumor that is gyllenhaal to replace affleck as batman? well i don't buy that, i think it's a gimmick, at first i thought he would be cast at green lantern, but then i read the rumor was related to the director for batman movie, so red hood is more likely role for gyllenhaal.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/films/2017/11/17/jake-gyllenhaal-rumoured-replace-ben-affleck-batman/

anyway, if affleck indeed resign from being batman, who would you have in mind?

gyllenhaal maybe fine in looks and he would look good in batsuit, but he's shorter than cavill, and his voice, man, his voice..

i would suggest armie hammer, once a candidate for batman for a supposedly JL movie.. 1,96 cm height, and deep, bassy voice, would make a good batman

I like Jake Gyllenhaal, but him as Batman? Yeah... no.

Hehe, remember, people (including me) used to say the exact same thing about Affleck.

But I got pretty much the same sentiment. If they actually do replace him, it's proof enough for me (as if any more were needed anyway) that they don't know what the heck they're doing with these movies and I'll probably quit spending money on DC. Whoever they would hire to play Batman, it's a whatever for me.

@tehrugger dear batman, never thought of jon hamm, that's a perfect replacement i should say..

and yeah, i'm with you and @Foxtrot94 here, an actor playing batman stepped down means huge thing, that's why i'm keeping it positive and seeing it as gimmick, which i'm positive it is..

and damn for jon hamm, nice pick

I think Jon Hamm would be a good choice as well.

Personally, after seeing Nightcrawler, I think Gyllenhaal would've made a better Joker.

But who knows? Anyway, I think they're going to reboot everything again after the Flashpoint movie resets the timeline.

oh yeah, kinda have that in mind too with nightcrawler.. but that would mean more disaster, two actors stepping down from being batman n joker..

on another note, there's this idea on the net, christian bale for joker.. i'd go crazy for that, you either die as a hero or live long enough to see yourself as the villain

I thought about that... a starving Bale (remember when he lost weight twice?) would make an interesting Joker.

But I'm not sure though.

Scott Adkins. He was originally suppose to be Batman back when a JL movie was in the works back in like 2008. Though I hope this is all a fluke and Ben stays as Batman. He's wanted this role for decades ever since Daredevil. I don't believe he'd give it up just yet.

Adkins is perfect actually

He has the height thr build and the look

And is an incredible martial artist

Has the agility and flexability to pull off amazing choreographt too

But he is british , so the voice and accent could be an issue

Ben affleck is the only person that has had the right height of 6 foot 2

All other batman actors haven't been tall enough

What about Tahmoh Penikett?

Or josh brolin

Henry is English as well (I read somewhere online on a post where there was a reply by a "British" person that they personally prefer being referred to as English rather than British) and he's putting on an American accent every time he reprises his role as Superman.

And he's pretty damn good at it too.

Well im from ireland and i call english people english

But when it comes to the stars the norm here and there is for them to be called british actors in the media and papers

So must be different everywhere

I think Gyllenhaal could be a good Batman but i rather Ben be given a chance to do a few movies and pass the torch to Nightwing than constantly recasting Bruce.

Dick Grayson being batman feels like a natural conclusion/next step to his arc and allows DC something marvel cant do as easily.
