The Devil May Cry 4 listing on Amazon.com states a release date of: December 31, 2007. However, Amazon are normally pretty unreliable with their estimations.

Sorry Steve - but it has been confirmed that they have to hold it back til' early 2008. But, hopefully - they will do it before that.

Well I originally posted the info showing that the game would be delayed due to the change in development, meaning they had to delay it to get the 360 version out at the same time.

But I have also heard, unofficially that it maybe released end of this year, according to financial reports that is, but I still believe its pushed back to Q1 2008

The delay would have still happened without the 360 version existing as the game simply isnt finished or polished yet.

Correct, after all it's been said that the only difference between the Xbox360 and the PS3 versions would be their controls

I dont know, I mean they will say what they need to, to justify the delay and their position, so for all we know the delay could be purely because the game is long and incomplete, but it could also be cos of they are now developing for 3 platforms.

The game had videos shown of it running on the 360 before they even announced that they were releasing it on 360 and PC which must have meant they had been in production much longer than Capcom said. Porting games doesnt take a huge amount of time so id say there were other reasons behind the delay than the fact they are making them for 3 platforms now, but thats down to Capcom and only they know.

Either way, whatever the reason for the delay, Im just disappointed if we dont see the release this year.

It actually depends on where you live.
I heard from Gamespy its coming in USA at late 2007.
In Europe somewhere around there too.
And in S.A, where I live about October, Nov, Dec 2007.

Uh no in the UK its coming out in early 08 mabe jan and for USA it will be here in Nov-Dec somewhere around that time Q4

It still says the end of Nov for the UK release date but I can't say for sure when it is coming out.

Go to the capcom.jp website then go to dmc4 then use tranlator(google) to see what it says.It will say Winter 07 for release Date

It says it wont be out in the US until Jan 2008. That's according to IGN. No release date for Europe but it still says it'll be some time in 2007. Nothings being said on the official DMC site yet.
