Dude really? Gamesradar is a credible games site that loves to be sarcastic. That's what they were being in the article. It's plain as can be.

I honestly don't see how so many people could think they were being serious.
I said unreliable source, I never said the site was unreliable. This is a rumor, no more.

If QTE's show up, this game will get so much hate for it.
I'm not saying I dislike them, especially when they're done well; but it's not something gamers like in general...

My apologies. Either way, GamesRadar didn't get the whole QTE thing from any source, reliable or no, because they were being sarcastic.

It's not that hard to understand people! :(

I had no idea they were called QTE's in the first place. I always called them the cut-scenes-that-aren't-really-cut-scenes-so-push-buttons..... thing......

Quick Time Event is a bit easier to say (and type).

Hey, i have an idea lets force everyone in the industry to use your term to discourage them from using the concept.

I like QTE's. They put a flavour into the gameplay while showing off some wicked in-game cutscenes. I quite enjoy that and I wouldn't mind them being put into the new Devil May Cry, as long the game doesn't consist of JUST QTE's. But a QTE once in a while against some of the bigger bosses and such, I'd like that.

QTE implies some kind of input with varying buttons. With the DB it's just push the button to initiate the action. Hardly a QTE, more of a finisher.

I suppose they could put in QTEs as an option, you know? By that I mean, a button could be shown above an enemy's head if it's close to death or extra vulnerable. It would be up to you to decide whether or not you'd continue chaining combos.

It would be nice if you could decide what the QTE would look like. Let's say a button appears above an enemy's head signaling the start of a possible QTE. After that, you could press any buttons in sequence to create your own custom attack.

Now that would be a QTE worth performing.

^That reminds me something from the beginning of Final Fantasy XIII-2. At some point you get to use QTEs and there are two buttons appearing at the same time. One signifying an attack using guns and one with a sword.

If we could combine this with what you just said -> meaning you can not only choose whether or not you'll use the QTEs but choose even the manner that those QTEs will appear/affect the game as well. That would make them awesome. No action would be wrong.
