Fortunately, the Google AdSense team were kind enough to reinstate my AdSense account and allow me one more (likely last) chance. It's a relief to know that it's been reactivated, but at the same time, the money it generates accounts for, what, maybe 15% of the monthly server costs? It's like paying to go to work. Otherwise, it's the best job ever - so, can't complain (any more than I already have).

I sincerely hope this doesn't happen again. Although I did have a question: does this extend to private messages as well? I ask less because I want to share porn through the PMs and more because I feel that it ruins the point of it being "private" if Google can see it. ._.

Surely when you reinstate the images, the content that got you into trouble in the first place will still be there. Would it stay there, or would it have to be deleted?

Yup, it'll still be there, but I'll have made it so that non-registered users cannot view images. Guests will see a registration link, members will see smut. Hurrah!

Aha. That might be why we never had a problem over at my old forum... we have one of the oldest, clunkiest, (and apparently crappiest) login methods ever and all the site content seems invisible to non members and general Google search. Some of the staff there reckoned that was discouraging new members from joining the site (due to needing a specific activation cookie)... they might be right, but otherwise things have been just as cool being less openly visible. It doesn't hurt the site, I guess, although less people will stumble across it via their image searches.
... does this mean things will remain as they are or are you updating the ToS on imagery?
