Parallel Universe

^^ i would if i wanted a complete mind ****!! I prefer a story with a simple plot (rebelling against the demon world because of what happened in his past. death of his mother or whatever) and with lots of character development, especially for Dante. I actually dont mind if they do not add any familiar characters because from what i know about the original series, he hasn't met any of them until his shop is underway. Vergil would be nice in the game too, i just hope they do him the same amount of character development because of how close their relationship is. Although Vergil could be completely different in eye's of NT, there still needs to be some substance to his character for whatever reason.
 
On the character front- there are a lot of characters he did meet at this point before his shop was opened that could make an appearance and you could build up to certain other characters like trish or Nero in the story.
I still hate the parallel universe idea as it seems pretty pointless to have both to me.

I think he's thinking of DmC still being a parallel universe and introducing characters in different ways. But yea, Nero would be just a baby if the story was part of the canon.
 
okay i was reading previous comments and i have something to say.

@CoolDemon: you say that you can't be a "true" fan of both DMC and DmC. (i hate when people say the word "true" fan). first off there is no such thing as a "true" fan, if you are a fan then you are a fan, some people just take it to different extents of being a fan. the only way you couldn't be a fan of something is if you were pretending to like something that you actually don't and in that case one would be called a poser. Now....cooldemon you say someone can't like DMC and DmC equally as much, well that isn't true whatsoever. I like DMC and DmC equally, or atleast i will like them equally if DmC's gameplay is up to par with previous DMC games. soooo people can like both games equally you say since they are two different games ONE of them has to stand out more, well you know what stands out in my head? The series known as Devil May Cry, which includes DMC and DmC.
 
^ i agree, and i got pretty heated when i read the previous messages, which is why i posted on this matter, because its ridiculous if you think you can't be a fan of DMC and DmC.
 
Well, i meant that you could leave bread crumbs for characters to appear in later sequels without having them appear in the game.
Or include them but radically reinterpret them to fit and i think those two are among the weaker characters who need it more than the others.
