Ninja Theory on DMC reboot: "we're not pretending we're Japanese, or apologising for it"

^^ DMC2 was the first dmc game I bought, just because the cover art was so awesome.

Can't see one single inflammatory thing in this article - not one. All they've stated is an obvious difference in culture and the only way one could see anything other than that is if one has already got a negative perception of everything NT have to say about anything.

I disagree with all that CoolDemon. For me Dante has had enough development, motives, reason, etc. He might appear a lazy carefree guy who does nothing all day but that is not his only feature. Novels, games, manga, etc. How can he not be developed character wise?

Also, I believe the paragraph that mrrandomlulz quoted, to which I replied is focused on Dante's appearance, not the character, so I'm not sure where you're coming from, quoting me to say that. ^^;

Well we know Dante doesn't take life to serious. But after DMC 1 we never got much more info about Dante and his family.

DMC 3 and 4 was pretty much DMC 1 Dante if he was playing around all the time.

It's funny to read how offended people on here get by misintepretating this article. XD
I'm not going to comment on it though, I get what they are trying to say.

I believe he is saying "camp"

According to wikitionary- its an exxagerated and tasteless sense of style.

I understanding what they are saying and agree with them even thought I have reservations.

White hair is easy to explain as it could be a gentic trait. White hair like Dantes arent humanly possible so rule of thumb is any one with natural anime hair is a demon in disguise.

i hate that everyone just keeps on going in circles. supporters say positive things, and the people who don't like the game say negative things, its a vicious circle. earlier i agreed with what tony said because i'm pretty sure ninja theory didn't mean to offend anybody, i mean they know that if they say anything wrong people are gonna jump all over it, so i think what ninja theory said wasn't MEANT to be taken offensively. HOWEVER i can see how some people think it sounds offensive because of the "americans, more functionality" statement, but how about we actually try to understand one another instead of:
"ninja theory just offended us!"
"no they didn't poophead! you're just a hater!"

How about you talk about how Zwei a DmC supporter mocks people for trying to understand?

But it's like this:
Be positive about DmC and mock DmC haters - it's OK

Be negative about DmC - your dirt.

If you don't like that "circle" how about you don't critize the DmC supporters that wants to keep it going such as Zwei? How about you do that ?

I don't see how it's not negative, but i guess since i am negatively affect by DmC i must see it as negative right? But that does not apply to people poistively affect by DmC.

People who are positively affected by DmC have crystal clear eyes for everything Ninja theory says. They never misunderstand.

i was asking BOTH sides: DmC supporters and Anti-DmC supporters to start understanding one another instead of criticizing each other all the time, and just arguing instead of friendly debating with one another, because its really starting to affect the forum. just about every thread in the DmC section dissolves into some type of arguement.

I see that now. I am sorry - but i guess that means nothing now.

I am honestly very ****ed off at people constantly telling me to accept things their way.
