New Devil May Cry will teach casuals the "magic" of pro gaming

That still doesn't mean you can't compare them.

It's like saying you can't compare the movies Spider-Man to The Amazing Spider-Man when The Amazing Spider-Man is clearly a reboot. Things are going to be compared and contrasted whether you like it or not. Without comparisons and actual discussions, we won't figure out on what has been improved or changed for the better of the franchise.

Understandable. Just don't take things too far by saying "oh you don't see Donte do this or that" that gets on my nerves and I know that would irritate some people here too, unless they wanna chew me out on that.

I haven't. And if I did, I stopped.

And it's understandable that people will look at this Dante and say that sort of thing. For example:

What's going to happen to Dante when he establishes a connection with Kat?
Will he still be the same ol' wise cracking Dante?
Or will he be extremely serious to the point where his character has changed too much?
What will he do after defeating Vergil and Mundus? Is he still a demon hunter? What will his occupation be?

It's stuff like that in which worries people. And it kinda worries me too.

There are a lot of things that I don't agree with in terms of the story but as of now I've been mainly talking about the differences between the combat system for both games. Until the full game comes out, I won't say anything else about it since I don't know the story.

They will have to change a lot of things in order to do it right for DmC2. Including using a different engine.
Yup, a lot of changes will have to go down. Not as drastic as the change from DMC2 to 3, but I'm more than sure that with feedback, they can do it. Hypothetically.

The different engine thing may be true. I think DmC 2 would come out for the next gen systems (Sony Orbis, Microsoft Durango, maybe WiiU), and I'm sure Unreal 4 will handle wonderfully on those consoles. Let's hope so, anyway.

But as long as we're throwing this out there, everyone should just consider what DmC would be like in the CRYengine or the Phyre Engine (Journey, Dark Souls).
Awesome as hell.
