Well, there are so many Gundam series with so many different Mobile Suits/plot elements that it's bound to have some story/something better than NGE:lol:

The first gundam series was on 1979 while even now a new Gundam series is ongoing

I know that most people like the NGE a lot more, since it isn't your average Mecha series - I mean, even though it has Mecha, they are not the main thing of the story or anything, but if I had to choose one story based on the Mecha it would have to be Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

Being on topic, NGE>any Gundam in terms of storyline etc.

With all due respect, I hate MSG. I could never get into it.

Evangelion on the other hand is great and owns MSG. My only complaint with Evangelion is that it is so full of itself with its psycho babble.

Gurren Lagann and RahXephon owns Evangelion and MSG tho.
