That is the secret world

That is the secret world, or what ever. The secret missons are a whole other thing, like the time trial thing we saw, though I'm not sure what's their connection to the secret doors, that also may be a seperate thing from the both of them.
Oh, I see, secret missions are the challenges then?

Well, I guess it doesn't really matter what they're called.

Yeah, there are secret missions and secret rooms in the game.

The keys you collect throughout the game, will be used to open the secret rooms ( or secret doors)...

It's interesting to me that the secret world is accessed through blue roses. If you look up the meanings of each colored rose, blue means the unattainable. It doesn't exactly say much for him getting his memories back.

I'm guessing easy through nephilim difficulty are gonna be easy as all hell for casual players and very hard and up are gonna be hard as all hell for the DMC 3 crowd (at least that what im hoping)

That's what I'm trying to understand... How did Dante lose his memory? Even better, did he really lose his memory?

It seems that he barely knows anything about his past. That secret world is linked to it, but I hope they'll explain more about it,.

So we have the "secret world", even though it's probably going to be a scripted game event and you'll be forced to play through it anyway. At least we have secret rooms and secret missions to play.

The divinity statue finally was used and it's basically the same stuff from earlier games, so it's a good thing. That first boss is way too easy and his attacks were 100% weak and predictable ( the dark place with his razor flying into yor direction. Dodge when it's vertical and jump when it's horizontal...).

Still, I think it's possible having to parry that razor attack during the ending of the trailer. I saw one trailer 1 month ago and it did show that same boss and Dante sending that razor back to the boss face. I'm curious about it.

Remember, something was being done to him while he was in those orphanages. As for the boss, it really looked like it was on easy. I mean, come on, Poison looked harder and that's not that much further into the game.

Wait. When did he use the statue?

Could be on an easier difficulty, after all. Higher difficulties change enemy behavior too, so, it'll be interesting to see how people adapt to something like that.

Plus, he's the first boss, too. Like the Vanguard in DMC3, he was sort of a pushover...

The Vanguard was a pushover, really? I remember dying at least 5 times before I beat him. Then again, I was 12 at that time and was playing the non-special edition.

I hope they soon release the Hunter fight without the interview over it... it looks beautiful and I'd love to hear what music is being used and what Dante and Kat are saying.

I'm gone half a day and I miss a whole boss fight and secret area! :O

Well the boss fight looked awesome, my favorite part of the boss battle was when the Hunter shot down his grapple hook creating a hell boy like fist. Another thing that was good to see was Kat fighting back against the demons, it shows she's not the typical damsel in distress. And I'm totally amazed by the beauty of the secret area.
But my favorite part of the whole video was when Rebellion transformed into the Ophinion whip! So bad ass! :D

Actually, your comment on Kat made me remember something, what little I could hear from the gameplay Kat seems to tell Dante "Now you can fight it" after she hit the Hunter with the Molotov. And looking closely it seems like the Hunter had some sort of static-like visual effect on him prior to getting hit; maybe Kat isn't simply fighting back, maybe in some cases Dante is the one who can't fight back against a demon and needs Kat to bring them into Limbo for him?

Hmmm that's an interesting theory. So Kat isn't completely useless, which is good. :)

I don't think there was anything different about him. I didn't see any static :x but the Hunter definitely uses his sense of smell, and she threw that cocktail right at his gaping nose-hole. So maybe it was to gimp him. I would like to hear that portion clearly, though, to see what's really getting said.

Either way, it was nice to see her do something. I already loved Kat's design, being a medium/tagger who makes magical glyphs with her spraypaint and stencils.
