Anyone who watched They Live can tell that it is a rip off.
Whether they are or not, MGR is still doing way better than DmC.
In fact, MGR is doing everything Capcom wanted DmC to do :lol:

Wrong on all accounts:
-Only blind fanboys were ****ed.
-DMC2 sold more yet a failure
-It's just a 50/50
-Gameplay more accessible
-More challenging depending on the player
-DmC Dante and other characters are more believable than being cartoon stereotypes
-Who hates Combichrist?
-It's more like Inception, The Matrix, and They Live, not much anime.

That's because it has 3.9 user review on Metacritic and that "matters" lots of fanboys making accounts and rating it "0".

It's nothing like the movie, does Dante wear glasses? nope. does he have that mullet? no. Are there aliens? Nope. They said it was inspired by They Live only for the OBEY and OBESITY stuff. Other than that, it's nothing like They Live.
Oh and does the world go into black and white? Nope.
just like "DmC is a rip off of They Live" is like DMC3 is a rip off of Inuyasha.
Do I really have to do this comparison stuff again? It's easy to compare games, you know, games to movies.

Capcom wanted DmC to bring in bigger sales and attract lots of new fans, It failed to do that, MGR succeeded in doing just that and it wasn't even it's intention.
They Live story: Aliens control humans through subliminal messages and media, character sees through bulls**t, joins resistance, fights back, destroys cloaking thingy, world finally sees aliens, the end.
DmC story: Demons control humans through subliminal messages and media, character sees through bulls**t, joins resistance, fights back, destroys leader, world finally sees demons, the end.

Because is a little different in that case, DMC3 was more like, "let's just get some good concepts(not all of them) from this game, and get the rest of the good concepts from DMC1, and then let's go crazy with it", and then boom, here is DMC3.

Capcom wanted to do something that they were reluctant to do in the first place: to do something different. If they want bigger sales, they could stick on doing DMC5 on their own. But Capcom is running out of ideas so they asked Ninja Theory to made DmC since Itsuno and others left (w/ Itsuno doing Dragon's Dogma).
MGR succeeded on its own since it was well received by most DMC fans who spew hate on DmC. And there you have it.

I'm just so freaking annoyed by people comparing these two games, but what ****es me off more is that the old fans are shoving the sales in my and the supporters faces.
That's what made me not like MGR in the first place. Luckily I looked past that and rented it for a week.

But, MGR wins in your opinion remember? just because it has more this and that doesn't make it automatically better does it? It's your opinion to like the game more than DmC, and I respect that. But to disrespect others' opinions on why DmC is better is just hypocritical.
It's like if someone says MGR is better, it's basically telling others to shut up and listen because they got these facts on why they think it's better.
