Well that sounds close minded and ignorant. As ZeroLove has said, none of these theories are fact. They are theories and nothing more. So stop talking like your idea is the only good one.

In that case i am a close minded and ignorant person. Didn't say your theory is no good, i just said mine has more stuff backing it up.
Actually it does matter how good it is. Let me illustrate why through a example.
The story of DmC is a reference to punks rebelling against goverment in UK.
Punk movement started in UK.
And obviously DmC is influenced by british culture.
With my theory i explained why i think Kat is named that. And used BRITISH invention to back that up, a invention that is similar to Kat in that it enlightens people. Did i mention the invention is called Cat eyes?
Kat...can SEE (eye sense) limbo and others cant.
If you disagree with me that it doesn't matter how good it is, then that's just your opinion. People use the fact that leader of Order is male to back up that it could be Vergil, and so because of this so many people assume it is Vergil. Though that's poor way to say it's Vergil.

Look chap, we get your theory. You've explained it a thousand times and I've already given my rebuttal. So why the hell are you still going on about it? Your pushing your theory, rather than presenting it. You keep pushing your theory when its probably not true and there is no way to know if it is true. It could be right, but you and I don't know.
You've already admitted that your ignorant, so let me tell you that there are other points of view than your own. Okay?

I didn't belittle your theory. So i don't get why your annoyed.
I presented mine and hoped for yours and other's input on it other than "How good your theory is doesn't matter" or something similar that doesn't discuss the theory.
Not saying it's true, but asking you and others is it highly possible that i am correct? That is why i shared it with you guys. I didn't share it to say "Hey my theory is better than yours Dante47! Take that!".

And reason i keep "pushing" again because of no feedback on my theory.

Ah that rating? I rated the possibility of name coming from St.Catherine. I don't have any opinion about your main theory.
And if you feel i have offended you then i apologize.
But based on the fact that DmC is heavily influenced by British culture because Ninja theory is a british studio i believe my theory that origin of Kat's name comes from Cat's eyes road invention. That is why i rated my theory more than yours. It feels like the puzzle pieces are "falling" into their respective slots.

MccD, I don't feel you are bothering me with you theory, it was how it seemed like you pushed it forward as the "correct" one.
Dante47's theory is just as probably as yours, however, they are both just theories and until we get any confirmation to what is right, then that is all they are. You did seem to belittle Dante47's theory and was disrespectful of it.

The most "logical" theory would win but then again,it's still a theory not a fact.It's like saying the big bang theory is really the reason why the universe was created because it's the most logical but no one actually knows the answer.

My theory has alot backing it up. And it's not on equal line as Dante47 (no offense).
DMC was not ONLY influenced by religion, and we already seen many things other than religion influencing DmC.
They aren't just theories. They are fair and good theories. Mine being good and Dante47's fair. I don't agree than religion is enough to say her name is from St. Catherine. And as i said this is DmC not DMC.

This is why I only lean on official statements and facts. Making theories is a fun and good way to fill in for the lack of facts, but they are still only theories, fan-made ideas. Don't make it any more than what it really is.

No, it's not my opinion. There is actually good and bad theories.
Let me give you an example since you seem to stick to "It's just all theories any canbe true" thought:
Bad theory: Kat is mexican
Good theory: Kat seems like a indian (hand and face markings)
Bad theory: Kat is a singing artist
Good theory: Kat probably is probably great at painting (spray can)
See the good theories have things backing them up, while bad ones have nothing. So bad theories are nothing more than wild guesses.
And my theory has things backing it up. I rated it 6/10 perhaps 1 to high,but it shows you i am not overrating my own theory. And the 4/10 is the possibilityof it notbeing true.
Arrogant prick or not my theory has decent stuff backing it up. And it's prone to not be true as any other theory, but it seems like a good theory.
