Kamiya weighs in on DmC

He also said nothing about DISliking it, just that DMC fans should continue to appreciate the series as a whole. But it's him giving his comments on how he keeps hearing from fans about it and giving his weigh in, hence why I posted it.
 
The title is completely **** if you read the article... he simply says he is annoyed of people asking him all the time
 
That is not what he said at all, and you know it. The article does address that he's also known for being a dick to people, so for him to be professional and more supportive in this fashion instead of trashing and being insulting is quite a step up from his usual behavior
 
I think the title of the article should be the same as the title of this thread.
 
It's not like he's going to actually stick his nose in a stupid fan-war and feed the fire, that's capcom's job.
 
I don't wanna make this long but
1) This article is bare bones at best.
2) when it states "Bayonetta developer Hideki Kamiya recently came to the defense of the new Devil May Cry in a handful of posts on Twitter " If you're coming to the defense of something, that doesn't mean "I'm coming to defend you by saying it's not that good".
3) According to Kotaku = ARTICLE CREDIBILITY KILLER. Prepare the coffin
4) The coffin is prepared and citing Metacritic are nails
5) Where did I put the TV remote?
 
He doesn't hate DmC. Even Reuben Langdon thought it was pretty awesome to the fanboys dismay thinking he would be on their side. Of course the Devil May Cry fanbase for the most part evidently don't have good reading comprehension skills because they seem to only interpret things the way they want to see it. Hideki Kamiya is the one that doesn't cut any punches and more or less makes fun of the fanbase. I've searched high and low for any indication that Capcom or NT insulted fans and I came up with absolutely nothing. I know Capcom might be stupid at times but they wouldn't be stupid enough to make a move such as that especially since so many fanboys were extremely butthurt already just because Dante looked different. Somebody actually show me proof of their ill deeds if they really did do something. Tough luck fanboys, your beloved Kamiya doesn't hate DmC. Go figure lol.
 
That doesn't really say he liked it.

He said it was unique and that's it. Doesn't mean he literally said "it was the best DMC he'd ever seen right behind DMC1." He just said it's unique and people should give it a shot.

I also hate how fans think that whining to Kamiya's going to do anything. Kamiya can't do a thing about DMC cause it's not his game anymore. It's Capcom and NT's for now and I doubt Kamiya's getting it back anytime soon.
 
Didn't Reubon actually say his one major disappointment in the game was the fact he actually was NOT involved, and that was really it? I remember him after the demo saying that it was actually well put together and he was excited for the final product.

In a later interview a few days or weeks before the game came out he said that he liked the game, but wasn't a big fan of the direction the series was going. He also said that he enjoyed playing as Dante since he felt like Dante was a part of him, but now new Dante's swearing a bit more with the F-bombs, and such, and he's not too happy about that. He still likes DmC but isn't too excited about the places its going.
 
People are trying too hard to make Kamiya state something negative about DmC. Now he stated something neutral at best and people are STILL trying to pull it over to something negative. He didn't say he liked it, he didn't say he disliked it, and you are NOT going to get such a response from him. He is doing the mature thing and stays on neutral grounds, because he has nothing to do with DmC and obviously don't want to, as stated above, fan the flames.
 
Fair enough, hadn't seen that one yet. It's a lot like a lot of us who did give it a shot and liked it still have our issues with it. I personally would have rather Dante's gutter mouth was toned down...like one or two F-bombs at most, and I think that would have been enough to show he's crude and raw, but also to show some sembulance of the better person he would become. It was nice tyo see the further into the story you got, the more his mouth seemed to clean up. It still has reubon's approval of "fun game", and like anyone, he's got things he likes about it and doesn't like.
 
This is OOOooooooold news. He made coments like those a long time ago and he provably genuinly doesn't care about DMC anough to be affected by DmC one way or the other.
 
Also, remember when you quote someone, put in a source! Or else it could simply just be something you guys made up.
