And while they technically don't count as the same person, they both have the Persona Izanagi, one of which is called "Magatsu (Corrupted) Izanagi". So, whether it's Hollow, Heartless (KH), or Corrupted, in the end, they're all practically interchangeable when used within that context.

And yet, almost no one calls it a "rip off" of Bleach. That's because it's more of an homage. An homage that VD proudly wears on it's sleeve, as well. Persona 4 has a good story, and so does Vergil's Downfall. I see nothing wrong with that.
Besides, almost no one is getting on DMC4's case for almost doing the exact same thing. I guess this detail can be ignored when people don't have an agenda against that game to begin with.
What happens now is that people are going to find something new to "legitimately constructively criticize". And then use the Almighty "Opinion and Free Speech Shield" when they just recently stated them as though they were fact.
Also, people are free to say what they want right back. As their opinion, of course.
They're going to run it into the ground, like they did with:

and "bad PR"
Anything to make this game look bad in other people's eyes. Whatever they can spin to put it in a negative light.
