Just finished watching VD: HOLLOW VERGIL? PFFFFFFFFF XD

Also, the OP never said that it was a rip-off. She is just basically sharing her thoughts about it.

Finally, someone who agrees. I immediately thought of the fight with Hichigo and Ichigo, its one of those anime fights that have been embedded in my mind!

Exactly. I never said that it was a rip off, yet I have people trying to get in my face about it. I honestly think its cool, and I can't help but feel that it is some sort of reference to bleach. I really do like it, its not like I'm trying to make it out to be bad.

tetsaiga=rebellion or better yet, the sparda sword in dmc1
yamata=same context as sesshomaru sword
arkam=naraku
plot=older brother trying to steal something from the younger brother which will in turn lead to him gaining their father's power, for unexplained reasons, i can go on and on with this, take off the rose tinted glasses and you'd see that the comparisons between that canon and inuyasha was much more obvious

True but they didnt steal form other games and that's typical Japanese stories anyway but the old dmc never stole from many games they was their own they did take from anime but all anime is really the same in Japan

Not trying to be rude, but anime is not all alike. Its far from it, each anime has its own story and set of events to tell. Thats like saying all poetry rhymes.

lol, all anime is the same, compare something like beck to naruto, once again false, and no, NT did not steal from other games -_- or anything, they openly admitted to using the concept of they live for inspiration, that's different from ripping it off, that's like saying naruto is a rip-off of goku because the creator used goku's basic color design for inspiration of naruto's original outfit with the blue orange and white

Like most anime have demons and half breeds like there is a similarity in many of them I'm not saying there are the same exact thing that's like saying bleach is the same as naruto it's not its the stories that separate them and make each one unique but if you break some down they ain't much different just the story makes it totally different from another

Geez each different anime or manga in same genre have something similar. Naruto and Dragon Ball are Shōnen but there are also other different types. I could say that each tv series is same and stupid after watching only The Bold and the Beautiful or any other crap soap opera but that would be plain stupid.

I can clearly see what games they rip off even a old throw back movie of how demons are trying to control society with subliminal messages and that nephilm crap is a total rip off from darksiders 2 they even have Mundus baby mom has the same name as the demon from darksiders 2 and trying to create that god of war epic feeling I see it and feel it to the point where is the originality where's that suppose legendary story telling which ain't all that .... story leaves me with more questions than answers in this game

I'm sorry? How was I in defensive mode? Really, tell me how pointing out something that people ought to know, albeit with some frustration, counts as being in defensive mode? Maybe I made a wrong assumption, but it is far from overreacting.
 
Ichigo and Nero have the same English voice actor. But yeah, Hollow Vergil's concept was obviously copied from Bleach.
It even has the inverse color palette, warped voice and the whole 'I am you'.

A shame Hollow Ichigo hasn't appeared since Final Getsuga Tenshou, though I wonder how he's going to react at suddenly gaining Quincy powers and Zangetsu being out of commission in the upcoming internal dialogue.
 
Lol i liked it alot, But i'm a huge bleach fan. I wonder if they updated vergil in mission twenty because you see hollow vergil using combo's; Gotta checkout that later. Be cool if they did.
