Isn't the story kinda sappy ?

did anyone else see the expression on Vergils face when he fights Dante. it was like a cruel joy. or something. freaked me the hell out.
He starts of seeming like a guy who wans to do the right thing. Sure, we know he's going to change somehow, and have the fight with Dante, but I was suprised at the level of callousness he went to.Caring more about his data than Kat, refusing to trade Dante for Kat like she didn't matter; those were subtle hints for how far he was going to fall.

you are right no i think about it is pretty demented having him smile in that way the whole time even when dante STABBED him he was still being creepy

I didn't necessarily look at it as sappy. I wasn't really a fan of the dialogue, though. Tried to be too bad-ass in situations that didn't really require it and ended up coming off as forced. At least for me.

Vergil has a control complex (dont know if thats the correct term but whatev) he said he learned to hack because it made him feel like he was in control. damning the norm and rules for his own path. extend this and when he says how humanity needs to be ruled for their own good and you can see that its that urge to control that started as a hacker. he wants to mend the world to an image he deems best. when hes fighting dante he's exerting his control over him. it makes him feel big, superior and invincible. i didnt see him smile when he was stabbed but i wouldnt put it past him. he went into some sortta demented stance. he didnt ask dante to think or change his mind like dante did with him. he just kept attacking ruthlessly.

People just forget that this Vergil is a young version and we have something as the upcoming sequel named Vergil's DOWNFALL.

Just wait a bit or for 2 games to actually judge characters.

The Vergin DMC 3 was about the same age as this new Vergil almost 20-24

Age has less to do with it has more to do with how his character is written its written so realistically that it makes his Character so humane it essentially sucks out the unrealistic badassness older vergil had

DmC 2 ?? errrrrrrrrr... nah

In my honest opinion, I think they just need to expand the game some more and give the story more room to develop. Instead of trying to do things in 20 missions, maybe they should go for 30 to put in more cutscenes, animations, and dialogue. That way, they could expand on points that weren't really fleshed out, give more development to the characters, and to help add anticipation towards certain points in the game, like Mundus' boss battle.
