I noticed something odd

The same still applies for DmC, too you know. Plus, think about those concepts. Think about how Dante is taken in by his long-lost brother Vergil, and he gives him a reason to fight. Then think about them becoming closer in their battles, and in the end the two ending up with clashing ideals, which results in betrayal, and ultimately the rift that forms between them. The hearbreak of having to stand against your own brother, whom you shared such a close bond with at one time, more than likely exists in DmC, we just have to wait to see it.

you seem to like what their doing in DmC and i respect that but ehhhh i cant really come to like it that much :/ because we all know that some point in the game Vergil will turn on Dante and they will fight and Dante will win but i like the fact that they both grew up with these ideals all their lives and when they finally meet they HAVE to fight each other and the 3 battles in both 1 and 3 represent something
1 battle Nero Angelo/Vergil is stronger than you
2 battle your both equals
3 battle you beat Nero Angelo/Vergil

I know what you mean, but I think there's a lot of potential from the other side of things, too.

Berserk showed some of the best bonds and betrayal that I've ever seen in any medium, and nothing has really topped it.

*SPOILERS START*
Guts was a mercenary who had nothing to really lived for, so all he did was go from battle to battle, taking life-threatening risks until he was finally killed. His show of strength caught the eye of Griffith, who ran the Band of the Hawk. After a shaky start, Guts is pretty much overpowered and agrees to the Band at Griffith's desire. During Guts' time in the Band, he finds respect and friendship in his colleagues, especially Griffith, who wishes to go from common mercenary to a king, regardless of the caste system in place. Guts admires Griffith's lofty goals, and vows to fight for him, to make his dream come true. However, we start to see more of Griffith's seedier side, showing that he really is willing to do anything to achieve his goal (and I do mean anything, like laying with a king in order to gain his favor). When Guts asks Griffith to take out a lord standing in his way, Guts accepts, but ends up also killing the lord's innocent son. This causes a rift between them, and Guts leaves the Band of the Hawk.

While Guts is gone, Griffith is imprisoned and tortured relentlessly for having started a relationship with a princess, which the king didn't like, Griffith still being thought of nothing more than a lowly mercenary. Guts finally comes back at the behest of his love interest, Casca, and a few of the Band concerned for Griffith, and they go on a rescue mission. Griffith is mentally broken and physically weak by this point, and Guts and his friends try their hardest to escape with Giffith from the king's men. Having escaped and laying low, a supernatural eclipse begins, and pulls the Band of the Hawk into a demonic dimension. Griffith, in possession of a strange necklace referred to as the "Egg of the King" is offered a spot within the God Hand, a group of powerful demons. Griffith accepts this power as another means to become a king, and in the process of gaining that power, he sacrifices the whole of the Band of the Hawk to be devoured by demons. Guts attempts to save his fellow bandmen to no avail, and when Griffith is reborn as Fempto, Guts is pinned down by a demon, while another clamps down on his arm. Guts is forced to watch Femto rape Casca into insanity, while Guts himself is hacking his own arm off with a broken sword.

Guts and Casca are saved by the Skull Knight, who frees them from the Eclipse, but demons now permeate the world, and Guts tries to protect himself and the now mentally-simplified Casca from the demons that constantly hunt them, because they bear the brand. Femto continues his exploits to become a king, and cares little that he sacrificed so much to get where he was. He sacrificed not only the Band of the Hawk, who trusted him with their lives, but also Guts, who he gave a purpose in life, and who shared in his ideals.
*SPOILERS OVER*

I'm paraphrasing and glossing over quite a lot, but Berserk is one of the best series to see the ideals, bonds, and betrayal. This is really for anyone who was interested, not just you Meg5493, since I mentioned Berserk. I highly recommend taking a peek at it.

whats more to explain really? I liked how Vergil was and when he and dante did get along with each other they were total badasses because neither could probably defeat arkham without the other but it was sad because they had clashing ideals yet they still loved each other I don't think the new DmC can top that honestly the emotion in the scene before the final fight with vergil and afterwards is just...:'( amazing and in DMC1 after playing 3 and realizing that Nero angelo is Vergil its very sad and makes you feel sad for vergil because this is the last thing he would have wanted, to be someone elses puppet for years.

Meh. That story was a bit touch and go. They hardly really got along because they've only seen each other for brief minutes, and most of it was filled with fighting. Not once did they just meet to talk or have that heated talk before a fight.

The was no real substance in there to me. Just constant fights and that was it. That one time they worked together, and that didn't really make me think they were getting along, but more so "Let's kill this guy together, and then we kill each other later."

When Vergil fell, I was like "Aw, too bad. Now I won't have Vergil to fight anymore."

i watched alot how they moved and reacted with also the tones of their voices especially the last clip
i really found this saddening Vergil being generally cold to like everyone but he also has a soft spot for dante because he still loves him :'(

Which is why he tried to kill him every time they met...

Yep, that's some brotherly love....

However a fanfic known as "Devil Hunter among Ponies" (Yes it was a MLP fanfic with DMC) taught me that Vergil's coldness was probably from his trust issues. Arakam abandoned him for power, Dante was against his plans. That makes a guy really wanna be cold and evil.

The problem was that there was no better explanation as to why he was like this. Pretty much all that was explained when I first played it was he wants power.

Well Vergil already tried to kill arkham but that apparently didn't work out lol also Vergil knew Dante wouldn't die and I think Vergil was always alittle cold compared to dante and due to their mothers death and his separation from Dante that he grew even more cold and started getting a power-complex and yeah its not explained well but almost nothing in DMC ever is xD
