If I did an HIV test and learn that I'm HIV positive the same day a DMC 5 or DmC 2 announcement is made, I wouldn't even be mad.

Watch its some completely new IP that had NOTHING to do with Devil May Cry at all.
Just to keep things from going to people's heads. There is an equally strong possibility that there will be nothing about it at TGS '17. We might have to wait until PSX.

It all goes back to one of these events. Sony tweeted a DMC1 gif and make a comment about the birth of stylish action on their council. On top of that DMC was celebrating it's 15th anniversary so it was all a matter of certainty, but the day came and went with nothing to show for it. I don't think I've ever had my expectations so high for an announcement. I didn't think, I knew, so when nothing happened I was pretty damn disappointed. From that point on I decided to never let rumors, 'leaks,' or other kinds of hints get my hopes up because every event has them and they are never true. I rather be pleasantly surprised than utterly disappointed.
