that's right, to both haters and fanboys, Reach is one week away.
and both Bungie and Microsoft are doing everything they can to add suspense.
starting with enabling the use of nameplates.

you can choose your Halo: Reach nameplate by going to http://www.bungie.net/
then after logging in with a windows live ID (the one linked to your gamertag). after that scroll over to the "Profile" tab and select "Halo Game Settings"
from here you can select which nameplate you want to play with out of all those you have unlocked so far.

click the spoiler for a list of all possible name plates and what they all look like.

This one has not been announced yet. it is viewable at the bottom of this picture. due to it's similarity to a matchmaking symbol in previous halo games, it is speculated to be online multiplayer related.

furthermore, microsoft is promoting the upcoming title with a "countdown" on the xbox 360 dashboard. starting tuesday, the 7th. every day something new that is reach related, be it footage or something in the marketplace, will be unveiled.
fortunately, bungie has put out the entire list so you know what's available to you each day. here's the list.

the recon armor goes to all 1st generation copies of the game from what i hear. so even if you buy a standard edition of the game, not even preordered, as long as you get it on launch you should get it.

sure did. it's ridiculous how many voices and armor permutations they were able to include. i'm personally looking forward to the really robotic sounding A.I. voice option. :lol:
