Halo: Reach Beta

I was hoping to try Reach out at some point, however at Uni I have no access to XBL >.< Maybe when I get back home in a week or so! ^^

Still need to finish ODST! ^^

Alright. And @VeNGeD: They're going to be adding different playlists every so often? How long are they planning on keeping the Beta up?

Also, I wasn't sure whether it was just Elite's that could do the rolling or not. Nice to know, though xD.

I need to work on my Oddball skills. And I want that third Spartan Helmet in the line up that they have right now XD.

I can't believe that the Mk IV apparently has better shielding that the Mk V and VI. Makes no sense...

Glad they brought the health system back, though. It's nice to be able to see your health bar.

The reason that the Mark IV Armor in Reach has better shielding is simply due to the fact that the Spartans featured in the game are not from the Spartan II program. They're all Spartan III's. xD (feels like a nerd)

Did you know that one of the Spartan III's was named Dante? Dante-083. He was given drugs so that he couldn't feel pain, and he got blasted at point blank by a Hunter's gun. His last words were: "Sir, I think I got nicked." The entire chest region of his armor was melted off and you could see his ribcage. He was dead before he hit the ground from blood loss.

That was in the Reach Novel, right? That's the only novel I've red so far (I own em all though :/)

I thought the worst death was the chick that got blasted by the Plasma Rifle while they were in space. The one whose skin was fused to her armor because of the heat.

Yeah, that one was pretty brutal. Not as brutal as the chick who gets disintegrated completely by an Onyx Sentinel in Ghosts of Onyx, though.

Heh, I got pretty far in the First Strike book, but I stopped reading it when I got Reach. And I tried to read Contact Harvest, but it was a bit dull in the beginning, so I didn't get too far.

Some of them are pretty blah to begin with, but even Contact Harvest has it's moments. It's where the Brute Chopper was created, and the prototype was actually made by an Engineer named "Lighter than Some" as a gift for the humans. Oh, what a cruel twist of fate it is to have it used as a weapon. Also, he made it out of a forklift. O_O

The first Chopper was made out of a forklift o_O? That's strange. It's too bad you never see the Engineers in the videogames...unless that thing in ODST was an Engineer...I really don't know.

Yeah, that was an Engineer. There are more than one of them, too. The armored ones double as suicide bombers, and are kept that way against their will.

Yeah, I hated those things. But meh, at least you make friends with one xD.
How far is the percentage on your guy's download?

It's at 49%. We're going to leave it to run overnight so that it'll be done by tomorrow.

My brother saw you playing it and almost swore. :P

XD I've already got a different shoulder pad and the only helmet that they have available XDDDDD

Ooooooooo He's gonna get mad when I tell him that. :P

He finds it extremely cool that you've played Castle Crashers for some reason. I don't really like the game all that much myself, though.

Heh. Like I said, I didn't much care for it, but the music was kickass. Especially the necromancer's theme and the ice world theme.
