The cut off date for nominees of the TGA is like late November. Hence why SH2 still got nominations elsewhere. Just not GOTY. It was a strong year. SH2 was maybe 7th in line, or even 6th, if we don't count expansions. 6th best game of the year by a panel of 100s across the world is still pretty damn good, imo.The game didn't come out until October, so it's possible that there was a cut off date. Games like RE4 came out in their respective years during the spring, and by the summer, had likely sold millions of copies. So maybe that's a potential reason for why it has been omitted.
Curious, have you payed MGS1-3? Or even his older work like Metal Gear, Snatcher, and Policenauts?I just feel like he is overrated, and is praised by fanboys way too much
Hoping to read this tonight. I've always wanted to get into the LoK series. I only played the Soul Reaver demo as a teen. I hope to start Blood Omen 1 on GOG soon, then getting the Soul Reaver remaster collection. I have the other 2 games already on GOG also, hopefully they play well on modern systems. The Legacy of Kain series: retrospective with original developers

I really need to play the Witcher series. That and Persona and Like a Dragon are probably my 3 biggest "blind spots" for video game series (for a PC player at least, though I have played my fair share of every major Nintendo series, too). The Witcher 4 Gets Exciting Update From CD Projekt Red

Simpler, more fun times back then. I don't care what the writer preaches at the end. But I do appreciate how it is mostly a play-by-play for the entire article.Rewatching the 2004 Spike TV Video Game Awards, a true time capsule of gaming

I will get around to them eventually. But for now, series I want to prioritize "catching up" on are Persona, Like a Dragon, STALKER, and Ace Attorney. Luckily, I don't mean to catch up by playing EVERY SINGLE game. But just a couple to get my feet wet and have a better, informed opinion of the respective series. You really should play the witcher 2 and 3, quite possibly the best rpgs ever made.
