There is a scene here in which the male angel meets up with the mysterious woman from the opener and goes to the same unseen figure that she talked to previously. "I fought with Eva's son my lord, he is... much stronger than we anticipated." As fast as lightning, a large holy sword takes the angels head off! The female is unfazed by this as the figure speaks to her in a very calm voice. "I take it you will not fail me?" The woman smiles. "Of coarse not my lord." She bows down and leaves. You would then see the figures eyes, pure shiny light.

The next level starts with Dante going through the city and as he gets closer to DMC, the town becomes more strange and twisted. You would start fighting the enemies Dreadnaught thought up, the new infestants and eventually come to the boss he has described in this thread. After you destroy the "infestant combiner" you will be approached by the mysterious woman who makes some shocking revalations to Dante. She tells that Dante's mother, Eva, was killed by demons, BUT they killed her as part of a deal with the Angel General, (the elder brother of Mundus) and the Devil King!?! Dante obviously thinks she is full of it and questions her as to why his mother was seemingly so important to the angels and demons. She smiles and tells him that while Sparda stole the spotlight, Eva was also very well known, at least to the angels. Dante waves her off and tells her to get lost but then she talks of a secret that has never been spoken of since Eva's death and it is the reason the Angel General has ordered Dante killed to end the bloodline of Sparda & Eva. That's mission numero quatro! Hope you guys are intrigued.
 
BTW Nero's Devil Arms will be Red Queen, Yamato (fully functional) & the Sparda Sword!!! He will, after all, need it for his power to be unlocked.
 
One last thing before I start getting feedback... Nero's full DT will be his floating demon avatar from DMC4 merging with his body and becoming the demon in full body DT... seriously take a look at the blue "phantom" being in DMC4 Nero's DT... it looks awesome... imagine that but its Nero full on look now.
 
I guess Eva was not just a priestess...but Sparda[weapon]?This looks promising.I hope he properly wields the Yamato and the Sparda,not with this "Oh Devil Arm disgusting,let's use my of-human-hand" stunt.And yeah for proper Nero DT.0_o why not have Nero copy the Force Edge Vergil style and wield the Red Queen and Yamato a la Vergil?WOOT.And good story.Dante FTW.

Well... at the time of her death, yes Eva was a priestess... but before that... hehehe, and Nero will be wielding Sparda at full potential...WITH the Devil Bringer lol he will be quite powerful... but you may have figured out that Dante is something more than what we thought... something quite special... and he will achieve something not even Sparda couldn't... will be quite a grand and epic storyline...
 
Well you could have Nero wield Red Queen, Yamato, Sparda AND also he could duel wield Red Queen & Yamato so you would have 4 different movelists :)
 
OH sweets.

Ok BOSS time :

Destroyer Angel[Name : Katastrophi] : A female Angel,the highest ranking female and her strenght is on par with the twins,her element is fire,a beatifull female vuluptuous like Trish and an angelic appearence,she is the ywin sister of Lucifer an unholly union between dark and light these two sisters view humans as lowly creatures,yet they paise their lord and believe that devils are "just vermin".Katastrophi is responsible for the death of the first born male egyptians in the plagues of the Pharaoh.

Firts Fight : Unknown spirit : Katastrophi appears in spirit form and can be damaged only by the Yamato or the Sparda since she is just a phantom.This fight will be like the Phantom Gannon fight of Ocarina of time,showing but a glimpse of her power and only Nero fights her.She stands in one place and throws fireblas,breaths fire,and uses holy light to fight.An easy battle.
Buster : None.She is a spirit that can only be harmed by the Sparda swords.

Second Fight : The angel appears before Dante after he defeats twe twins and before he is able to apologise to them,she imales them with her twin swords and calls them "useless like that bitch[Eva]",something that angers Dante immensely.In the first part she fights using her previous attacks,but also she is incredibly fast[DT style + trickster] and using her swords in a manner Dante uses them.
Grab : Dante attempts to grab however she grabs him instead and throws him,using a taunt and then she "blows a kiss",seemingly burning him to charcoal.It's one of the grabs where you lose health.If used when she is "tired" however Dante will kiss E&I and say : "I kiss you,goodbye...and don't return" before firing the most insane storm of bullets a la Gunslinger.

Second part : She transforms into her "angel trigger like form",she gets red-auburn hair,crimson eyes,tribal patterns covering "some" areas and sprouts eight wings,four normal and four of fire.She fights like previously,but sped up,more fiercely and more strategically.She also uses fire hail,an attack where she flies and rains angel feathers everywhere and then fires them up for a huge explosion.In this fight Dante is all the time in DT and he as well as the boss recover health.
Grab : Dante can only grab her when she is on the ground and is "tired".He stabs her with the rebellion and uses the spears to unleash a fierce barrage of furyous hits upon the angel,not before saying "forgive me[refering to the twins]" and ends it with taking the rebellion back and carving a cross with it on her.For a brief second the player sees through the enemy and the cross Dante slashed to view the cross parts as Sparda himself.

What do you guys think?
 
Holy-! I really like the Angel Trigger idea for some of the bosses. Maybe later, instead of Devil Triggering, because that's impossible for angels, they could AT instead, sprouting wings and having armor and whatnot. How about that?

Nero exclusive this time.

Probably the first Nero boss or the first angel bound boss.

Hunter : A devil mercenary,now bound by the angels to do their bidding.He will serve as Nero's antagonist and have two fights with him.He will have a human appearence with the heavenly shackles,chains and all and his second fight he will assume his true form as a huge island like giant.He will be fought in many sections.The final will be inside his brain where his spiritual image appears battles full-time DT Nero.I'm still thinking details.
 
I think there should be another demi-human (half-human) except he's much more demon than human. Like, he can't change into a human because it's just not in his DNA. Kind of like my spoiler-sig. Sorry if I seem kinda pushy, but I'm kinda... Stuck. Like, my spoiler-sig is the last thing I have left to use so... Yeah. I even came up with a backstory for him. Here it is...

Experiment No. 32: Xizana
Former Name: Kevin Turk
Eye Color: Gold, formerly black.
Hair Color: Black, formerly dark brown.
Skin/Scale Color: Green, formerly caucasian.
Clothing: Purple cape with purple pants. The reason he does not wear much clothing is because he's far too large, so he hand makes his clothes. He cannot wear armor, but he doesn't need to. His scales have armor-like qualities.
Experiment Type: Human-Assault DNA fusion
Successful?: Yes.
Origin: A clone. However, he did not know until the General Pharmacies Inc. found him. They then kidnapped him and subjected him to experimentation.
Early Life: Xizana lived with foster parents for about 5 years. However, they were killed and he was taken. He was the only one so far to retain his intelligence after the experiment. His mutation progressed gradually. On the first day, nothing happened. He was deemed a failure, but on the third day, he woke up to find his body scaled instead of skinned. He was then deemed a partial success. On the fifth day, a tail began to sprout and his face began to elongate into a snout. On the seventh day, his brown hair fell out, only to be replaced by black hair on the eighth day. On the tenth day, the DNA's maturation phase was complete, and he rapidly grew into what you see as my spoiler-sig. Although he had an adult's body, he was very much still a child. Having only seven years experience, he is still immature, and cannot bring himself to fight unless he has to.
Present Day: Xizana escaped General Pharmacies Inc, and left to fend for himself. He is now thirteen, and lives with a close friend and other experiment, Tiyana Burke. Since she suffered the same fate as him, "It was destiny we came together" said Xizana. He has grown bitter towards the director of General Pharmacies, a Doctor William Gazen.
In the DMC universe: Xizana works as a part-time devil hunter, and on this day, he would come face-to-face with the most renowned devil hunter of his time, Dante Sparda. (That is his last name, right?)

How's THAT for a backstory? I was thinking it could be told in a separate, sort-of "mini-campaign". What do you guys think? Would it work? It hasn't been done before...
 
Oh nonononono,Sparda is neither Dante's nor Vergil's surname.Since Sparda is a demon from the underworld he has no surname,thus his sons possibly don't have any.If they have though,they will have taken it from their mother,Eva.Yet we don't know her surname either.

Also put your character meeting Nero,mistaking him for Dante and it could work.Meeting up with Dante would be...disasterous for him if anything.[Anger and staff.]
 
Ah. Alright. Here's the cutscene where he meets Nero.

X: Hey! Are you the legendary devil hunter, Dante?
N: So what if I am?
X: You don't look like how they described you...
N: Ugh... I'm not Dante, you demonic @$$!
X: I'm no demon!
N: Well then, you're the ugliest human I've ever seen!
X: Shut up! Let me talk, okay?
N: Fine...
X: I'm looking for Dante. Do you know where he is?
N: Trying to find him so you can kill him? It's not gonna happen!

Xizana and Nero clash, Nero trying to dig his sword into Xizana's neck. Xizana jumps away.

X: Just listen! I'm trying to find him to warn him! The company who made me this way, General Pharmacies Inc, is creating monsters like me to fight Dante!
N: I'm supposed to believe you why?
X: Because I used to be human! I was five when they did this to me! I'm only thirteen now, and I'm already supposedly an adult. I haven't had a life at ALL! Dante has, and I'm trying to ensure that Dante stays alive! My life's been wasted, and I need Dante to kill Dr. Gazen, so that this mistreatment of humans stops!

Nero nearly falls over laughing.

N: Ahahaha! You really think Dante's gonna help you, when he's fighting off Angels right now? Ahahahaha!
X: Fine... Oh, right. I'm also here because I was called. Said there were demons. Need any help?
N: I could use all the help I can get, but... I'm not sure you can dish it out without weapons...

Xizana unsheathes his claws.

X: These are all I need...
N: Alright. Let's bust some demonic heads!

An enemy turned ally for Dante.A mercenary from a church,a wrrior of the angels and FULLY HUMAN,against Dante.Profile Time :

Name : Drakon Achileos
Alias : The Paladin
Occupation : Warrior of the angels,The Church's holy mercenary
Location : Greece[Birthplace],and for this game Mallet Island[that's the place of all DMCs right?]
Weapons :

- Dynamis kai Sophia : two two-handed sword,used seperately or in a dual wield manner.Swords used by great heroes of the past,Dynamis was the sword Hephaistos made for Achileas[Achileus] and Sophia was Athena's sword given to her brother Heracles[Hercules] to carry out the remaing 11 tasks[after the Nemian lion].That's what Mythology tells[I just gave them names].They are like the Devil Arms,undestructable and able to damage devils and angels.

- Ascalon : A huge jet-black broadsword,that channels both Light and Darkness in it,is wielded only by those it chooses it's wielder.It has no connection with the Holy city.It was made before Sparda's earthly time from the bones and blood of a 100 great devils and 100 arch angels.It holds the meaning of unreachable.

- Claiomh Solais : A big two-handed sword that came from Findias and belonged to Nuada Airgeadlámh (Nuada of the Silver Hand), who was leader of the Tuatha Dé Danann and King of Ireland. In legend, the sword glowed with a bright light, hence it's name. It was unresistible in battle and had the power to cut his enemies in half.Originally ade by the angels to aid the humans against the devils.It holds the power of Light.

Currently looking for the famous Balmung.

Backstory : A young man that decided to make his family rich by becoming a mercenary for the Church.A tall man,cheerfull,kind and willing to do good things.He has golden-brown eyes and short brown hair.He usually wears casual clothes with athletic shoes,but when in combat with great devils,he uses a cross to enshroud himself in a thick armour that makes him more durable than normal humans.His abilities exceed that of a normal human due to his training.However he is as durable as they are.When not hunting devils he resumes his everyday life.Currently trying to finish university.

In-game story : since the angels decided to kill Dante,they contacted him by sending the twins[his usual informers and "friends"] upon the earth to fill him in the mission that he has to carry out.Little does he know about Dante and his true nature...

I have to think of the fight with Nero and Dante.After his defeat by Dante he will join his side,since he will see Heaven's true intentions.

"Sparda" is usually used as a informal last name, since we have no official one, save "Redgrave", and that's still on personal opinion if it really is Eva's last name or not. However, back in the older days of europe, one "surname" system used for non-nobles was to refer to someone by a title they had gained through something they were known for, or by the adding of "son" to their father's given name. So going by that, you could call the twins "Dante and Vergil Spardason". Not canon, not official, but it works. However, calling them Dante and Vergil Sparda is about the same function, and it's just about fanon in the DMC communities. People know who you're talking about.

However, in terms of story, Not a lot of humans actually know that Dante is a Son of Sparda, outside of the Order and a few others. It's not something he's been shown to advertise. So anyone looking for him wouldn't know the name "Dante Sparda", they'd know whatever Surname he'd be using, probably Redgrave, IMPO.
 
Actually scratch that about the armour.It functions like DT augmenting his abilities greatly.Enough so that he can take on great demons and live after every encounter up until now.
 
whoa guys...you have all gone nuts while ive been sleeping lol... i like lot of your ideas... well look it will take me too long to go through every mission so ill put the main bulk of my story here... now while playing Nero's story, you will face the demons on earth and gain new allies, but before Dante ascends, you are constantly contacted by that mysterious woman (who is in fact that high ranking Archangel described in this thread) who constantly tells Nero he will stop the coming armageddon and that Dante is being consumed by his evil side, that he will attempt to ascend heaven and kill its current host (Archangel General). He constantly laughs this off until he find out Dante DOES want to ascend heaven! We know, of coarse, that Dante has good reason BUT Nero rushes to stop Dante. By this time, Dante's persona has changed and he has no patience to listen to the young hothead. Dante pushes Nero out of the way and we both know what is next - FIGHT... I'll post my idea of the fight in a minute
 
Dante violently shoved Nero who lands flat on his face. Nero is, of coarse, quick to anger so he jumps up, panting heavily with anger. Dante stands still. "I'm warning you kid, I don't have time for your crap right now, move or I'll put you down." Dante grabs Rebellion and points it right at Nero. The young half devil is quite taken aback by Dante's aggressivness but anger overtakes him and he enters full DT. "Arrogant as always, well I'll have to cut your ego down. I won't let you do it Dante."
Nero pulls out Blue Rose and fires several shots at Dante. The legendary devil hunter dodges each bullet in RE5 Wesker manner with ease. Dante runs out of bullets and goes to reloed like he did in the DMC4 opener. When he turns to fire, however, Dante fires one shot from both E & I which hits Blue Rose & sends it flying out of Neros hand. Nero yells and charges and Dante, unsheathing Yamato. Dante cracks his neck and speaks. "I warned you kid." Fully DTed Nero attacks with an incredibly barrage of slashes with Yamato, each which is blocked by Dante. Nero continues to attack, getting angrier with every hit but Dante doesn't have time for it. With one, thunderous swing of Rebellion, Dante knocked Yamato out of Nero's hand, his strength too much for Nero. He then spin kicks Nero in the chest and sends him flying into the wall, whicvh crumbles onto him. Dante puts Rebellion away and turns his back on Nero. Just as he goes to leave, Nero bursts from the rubble and sends a supercharged punch from his Devil Bringer straight for Dante. Tired of fighting Nero, Dante meets the giant DB avatar with his own, glowing supercharged punch and the avatar shatters!!! Nero grabs his arm and screams in pain and anger. All of a sudden, Dante is right in front of Nero and viciously punches the kid in the jaw, knocking him unconcious. He turns to leave. "Sorry kid." Kyrie rushes to the fallen Nero, crying. Dante turns to face her. "Don't worry, he'll be fine, he's just taking a nap." And with that, the Devil Hunter leaves. Whatcha Dante fans think.
