But aren't the angels the good guys? What happened to them in this game? Doesn't Dante spare them?

There ARE a few good angels but a lot are like the ones from Supernatural, even worse, they don't really give a stuff about humans and view ALL demons as a disgusting disease almost. But that isn't the reason Dante goes after them. Reading back over what I have put, there is a revelation about Dantes mother, Eva, that sends Dante to the kingdom of heaven for answers & revenge.

I may as well put a big part of the story here. Eva wasn't always just a priestess, she was in fact a beautiful angel! However she fell in love with a devil, Sparda as we all know and realizing the evil in the Archangel General's heart, rebelled (lots of rebels in Dante's family) against the higher angels and purposly fell from grace, turning mortal to be with he most beloved, Sparda. Her position as a priestess was her way of communicating with her angel allies (the honourable ones). When she had the boys with Sparda, however, the higher ups, especially the General, were absolutely disgusted and viewed it as the highest of sins! The general then reaches a deal with the devil king, Mundus. Demons were to kill Eva & the boys and in return, he knew Sparda would come after the General and he would take care of Mundus's biggest foe. Eva died but the boys survived. Mundus eventually got Vergil but we all know what happened with Dante. Sparda ascended heaven but was never seen again (what happened to him?) Now Dante must do the same and finish what even his legendary father couldn't, destroy the rein of the General and avenge his mother. So it turns out while Dante IS half demon, half human, he also has traces of angel blood in him which is why his power is becoming so great. He must embrace his full legacy and unleash his true power if he is to defeat the host of heaven. Epic no?

Any demon slayers in this one and not just Dante, Nero, Vergil and the others?

This Drakon is interesting. Has he gotten any firearms, does his name and weapon names have origins?

God is good and he isn't Dante's threat right? Its the general right?

the reason I decided to go with the Eva thing is that it is something a little different than the same old EVERYTHING IS ABOUT WHAT SPARDA DID thing however we will also see answers revealed about him in this game. ALSO if theres one thing that gets Dante really fired up, its his mother and her death so we will see a different side of Dante for his character to evolve :D hope you guys like

F*.I crapped my pants.Don't mess with Dante.EVER.As always your creative streak is nice.

Also on Hunter and The Paladin :

Hunter's real name : Ur - Ithctala,Lord of Nightmares[Just a title,no connection between the weapons],a giant that's actual height surpasses that of the Saviour a being of the ancient times, stronger than Mundus or Argosax, his kin was sealed in a remote part of hell by the ancient angel gods, through their sacrifice[the first benevolent angels to appear] and have since then remained there. He appears as a gruesome eight spider/reptille-legged giant with wing on his back,Leviathan like demons and unholly snakes for hair, three sets of hands each holding a different weapon[weapons include a dual bladed, twin side scythe made of living matter, tentacles and eyes],a huge sword compromised of flesh, teeth and bones and finally a lance that seems to be made out of devils wing, nails and gruesome entrails. His face is covered by rotten flesh and spikes with several ant like features, five sets of eyes, each different colour than each other and a mostrous mouth that has some kind of tusk-tongue and razor sharp, fast moving, spiral motioning, sickly yellow teeth. His upper body consists of several tentacles around his spine forming a body unlike any other.Because Ur_Icthala was sealed, starved and tortured by the angels MOST of his powers have detoriated, still he proves to be too much for Nero. His weakend state isn't as powerfull as the Chaos Incarnate. He is the WEAKEST,YOUNGEST and MOST USELESS of his kin.[Gotta love Lovecraft]

The Paladin : He actually proves to be very troublesome for human Dante,so Dante changes to DT and so does the Paladin.Following an immense battle with full DT, the Son of Sparda proves to be too much for the Paladin, who after some explanations, joins his side.

I would say my character is kind of one,but...anyway no he doesn't have any fire arms, his name and his weapons names[apart from the Claiomh Solais]are drawn from greek. His name means : The son of Achille[surname],Dragon[name].Achille like Hercules was a great hero, featured in greek mythology.Sophia is wisdom[a trait the goddess Athena had],and Dynamis is strenght.Ascalon is my conception of unreachable comming from α[takes away the meaning, like un- etc.] + σκαλα[stairs, but it also means something used to reach a place] = Άσκαλον[so it is that without reach, unreachable].I remebered that i had encountered the name before in Castlevania : Aria of Sorrow before, and thought of using it like that.Castlevania uses the city's name.Balmung or Gram is Siegfried's[Siguror in ancient norse,Sigurd] sword.Claimh Solais' history is there posted.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. Who are the bosses and final boss? Their name origins? List of areas for Missions? Weapon names and devil bringer techniques (if you got the time to do later)

Also, Devil Bane, I am going with the idea of a 20 mission story for Nero and a 20-25 mission story for Dante. Now at a bout mission 10, Dante will begin his ascention. Nero, therefor, will gain these new allies to face the coming apocalypse since earth greatest weapon, Dante, is gone, leaving a lot of responsability on Nero's head. Now I picture for Dante, a tear jerking scene when he leaves when he basically says his "goodbyes" to Lady & Trish. After he leaves and is about to ascend, Nero catches up with him after their fight, having been filled in by Dante's girls as to what is going on. In that scene, Nero would actually apolagize about his actions and Dante would tell him not to sweat it. Nero offers to help Dante but he tells Nero the truth, he simply isn't strong enough to help. Nero bites back but Dante cuts him off. "Don't you get it kid... even my father failed to do it. If I don't come back, taking care of this place will be your job. You have the potential of Sparda within. Its your responsability now, I'm sure you can live up to it." Imagine a tear coming out of Nero's eye as Dante turns and walks off. "Good luck Dante." Dante turns and smiles. He then points past Nero. "You too kid." Nero turns to see a bunch of demons approaching. He looks back and Dante is gone. Nero smiles and equipts Yamato. 'Thanks"

Crap,i can't believe i forgot to tell you about the missions.Thank god you made it awesome.20 for Nero and more for Dante.Nice.

Well like I posted before, Nero's devil arms will be Red Queen, Yamato & Sparda. Think of this Nero, when fully upgraded, as being the closest thing to Sparda we have played. Also, Rebellion has a power no other Devil Arms have - the power to open the gates of heaven!

I have an idea for Dante's ending too. Imagine the dying general giving Dante the ultimate decision. There is a portal back to earth but as Dante goes for it, light begins to gather around the general - he is going to basically kamikazee explode and destroy all the angels in heaven so no one could take his place. Dante of coarse runs for the general and just as he explodes, Dante takes the entire blast himself, sparing heaven basically. Right at the point of explosion, Dante would see Eva and Sparda standing there showing he is on the verge of death! (bit of a tearjerker). As the light fades, Dante's immobile body is being held by a hovering female angel, one that was friends with Eva. She lays a bloodied Dante on the ground and other angels surround the half devil, thanking him for ending the Generals rein. You will not know if Dante is alive or dead but it would then cut to the deepest recesses of hell and.... wait for it... Vergil is seen from behind and as he slowly turns his head you hear him speak "Dante..." Game Ends On A Cliffhanger :P

Yes... imagine all the devil hunters gathering around Nero for the ultimate apocalypse fight :D good excuse to bring in all these new character ideas... Basically the new Sparda and his band of followers... I like it a lot

Vergil is in this one right?

well in my story, Dante's ending will set up Vergils return for the next game - Devil May Cry 6: Redemption which will focus around Vergils return from hell, a showdown with Nero, redeeming his past actions and trying to find out his brothers fate/save his brother...

Okay, I like that idea better. I feel too excited about stories having happy endings.
