There are plenty of female superheroes who are fully clothed:

So a few not-so-clothed female superheroes is alright in my book. I would actually see some not-so-clothed male superheroes as well. All in the name of equality. ;P

I actually really like some of these designs but the baggy cargo pants especially on the Wonder Woman look pretty off. Psylocke, Elektra, and Zatanna are probably my favorites.

I agree. Psylocke has always been one of my favorites (aesthetically, I mean -- I honestly don't know anything about her).

However, I only liked her because of the psychic "wrist-claw" and katana. However, I never liked the bottom part of her original costume that much because it was too revealing. Here, I can have the best of both worlds. A sensible outfit, with good set of blades to match. :steve:

Yeah they're fully clothed in Skin-Tight clothes.... -_-

I doubt it is latex, but it is some kind of rubber or leather that is flexible and durable, again for movability but also for protection.
LOL there is no "protection" especially wearing skin-tight can lead to severe blood loss when cut

Female superhero costumes are mostly eye-candy... when you're fighting crime you'd make sure you're wearing fully covered clothing which isn't only a skin-tight one piece

Either way, it works. Look how popular the comic scene is. You represent it with your sig, having Catwoman, Batgirl and Harley in there. If you have such a big problem with female superheroes wearing whatever they wear, then why do you promote them such?

Angel General

Cristal, Advisor to Emperor Glaser & sky goddess
And it has to be shiny latex one piece ?? i don't think so
ZeroLove doesn't tell the comic book artists what to draw; if they drew all the female heroes in baggy clothes, less people will buy the comics. Simple as. Besides, superheroes don't need to wear much to protect themselves - they have super powers! It's not like they'll get hurt that much even if they are hit.

Yeah, people keep looking down on how women are represented in media, but never look at how men are represented.
Double standards. With the way things are though, I am quite fine with it, because I can differentiate on what media presents to us and how real life is. Apparently, not everyone can do that.

You know who else wears skin tight costumes?
and you know who else wears a bra ? -_- if that was a joke it wasn't funny
etc. etc. Tight spandex costumes are kind of a thing for all a lot of superheroes you know.
Not really for "EVERYONE"

Well if women are sexually objectified.. then its pretty legit i suppose

Is it a double standard or is it simply because the mass media thinks women are somehow really frail? More so than men. While there is evidence of women being objectified in any medium of entertainment is any girl here really needing someone to play White Knight of The Internet over the subject of female super heroes in comic books right now?

I don't think I'm wrong for liking a more tighter fit on the outfits. I like some of these designs but you don't really see Spider-Man fighting in a track suit or baggy hoodie. My main issue is with the Wonder Woman. The top is great but the baggy khakis are making it look a bit too jarring when looking at the overall design. It's out of place and looks weird. Some tight blue pants would really do it some good.

Contrary to popular belief many comic book readers aren't reading comic books hoping for revealing shots of these costumed characters. I'd like to think a lot of fans read them for the stories and love for what they are, super hero comic books. If people wanted some soft core porn of comic books there is like plenty of porn on the internet and of these comic book characters (rule 34) so covering up female superheroes wouldn't affect sales unless a vast majority of readers are really spineless and pathetic pervs. I don't think that's true and is just a stereotype. That's like me calling every player who plays MMO's like WoW are really all dudes who look like this.

Unfortunately the idea of male comic readers is also kinda like the image you posted. Pervert guys who jackoff to images of female characters; ugly and fat.>_< If you're a female comic fan, then either famle fans do not exist or they are ugly, no life loosers.

It's a shame really. That image could be used for gamers or anything that is lumped in to the "nerd culture".
